10 DIY Projects With Spiral Hair Bands – Spiral Hair Tie Lifehacks and Do-It-Yourself Ideas IdunnGoddess 2022-05-08 | Awesome and super simple DIY ideas everyone can make at home right after watching this video. All you need is a spiral hair band.For the first DIY idea – DIY Pencil Decoration – you will need to cut your spiral hair tie and wrap your pencil with it. Choose the color you like, or mix few. It looks gourgeous! I prefer holografic unicorn hair bands for this project, but whatever color you choose – will be awesome.And the second – kind of bonus idea – DIY Soft Grip for your pen. It is good for those, who like handwring. Such as me :) I write down my thoughts and DIY ideas to the notebook with ballpoint pen, so when I write a lot my pen leaves a mark after beeing pressed to my fingers. But a pen grip solves this problem very nice. Just note – use a flat spiral hair band for this project. For the third project – DIY Coaster – you will need two spiral hair bands, two pieces of baking paper and an iron. Cut hair ties to pieces as it is shown in the video, cover them with a baking paper and melt with iron for about a minute. Let it cool, the remove paper. This coaster looks fantastic, and you can wash it – it is waterproof! The fourth DIY is super easy - you don't need even to cut your band – just put it on a glass and here you go – your DIY earring organizer is ready. The fifth projects – is a DIY ring holder. You will need spiral hair bands of two different sizes. Put the smaller one to the bigger (as a flower) and insert your rings in between spiral curls. Super cute and useful.Moving on to the next DIY – which is my favorite – DIY bracelet out of spiral hair band. You will need to cut a segment of the tie about 6 cm (depends on you wrist size), then stetch it and hold over a candle for two minutes 2-3 cm above the flame. Move it back and forward to heat the spiral hair band evenly. Hold it tight, because the spiral will want to curl back until it warmed up to the needed point. Release it slightly time after time to chek if it still wants to curl or it is already straight. Use curls at the ends of the band (the ends you were holding in your hands, so they didn't get melted) as a fastener. Awesome! The seventh idea is a lifehack – use your spiral hair tie as a drainer for your soap bar. Super useful idea. Next – DIY Makeup Brush cleaning mat. You can use spiral bands of different sizes for diferernt brushes. Super useful ad easy. And much more comfortable to wash brushes comparing to the silicone mat. The nineth DIY project is a DIY cord and wires holder / organizer. Super simple and super useful.And the tenth idea – is a DIY plant tie which is cool because you can use it many times instead of throwing away plastic ones from the shop.And the last eleventh idea is a DIY Spiral Notepad (notebook). I've just realized there are 11 DIY projects, not 10. LOL. You will need a paper, a hole punch for paper and a spiral hair tie, of course. In the video I marked every centimeter on the sheet to make holes on the same distance. Remove marks with an eraser. And at the very end of the video I wrote a message to the world... City Waste Raid – Remaking Trash To Treasure - Dumpster Diving IdunnGoddess 2019-06-23 | My big project about waste, trash and junk. The experiment – would people take remade junk, that was laying in trash bins before? The main task of my art-crafts-ecological experiment was to save our planet's space which is dramatically buried under landfills. And plus – to save its natural resources by giving a second life to old useless things. Just think that for making a new chair people waste not only wood (which is also pretty sad), but also energy – often harmful for climate, nature and people themselves.I spent one dumpster diving day searching waste containers in my city to find useless thrown away junk. I picked: old mirror, broken armchair, hanging shelf, totally broken office chair, two plastic fruit boxes, old tire and piece of wood.Then I took the rubbish I found to my home and cleaned it thoroughly (disinfected). Next week – for makeover! I spent countless hours remaking all that junk and transforming it into new useful things. Amazing, how one week of hard work could be placed in a short sentence! :)Then I took photos of things I've remade. Uploaded them on online store, left my contact information and was waiting for new owners of my creations. Was the experiment successful? – you'll find out from the video :)Let's create wisely! Just roll a glass on paper from tape to tape as I show in the video.For the fake glass I use a plastic package. I think it is from bed clothe. I like to use things that are often seem useless.For “milkshake” I use pink acrylic felt, because my perfect milkshake is made of strawberries and coconut milk. But it also could be a chocolate flavor and color, or light yellow vanilla... To secure felt I'm using a double-sided tape – which is a very strong adhesive. And it is my number two to take with me if I was stranded on a island. And number one would be... scissors! DIY Giant Mechanical Snow Globe (Snow Cube) – How To Make A Snow Globe With Continual Snowfall IdunnGoddess 2018-12-02 | Easy way to make a super awesome giant snow globe (or better to say Cuboid) with never-ending snowfall. Snow is my passion. I love to play with it, walk in it, draw it and just watch this perfection. And obviously I like snow globes – little winter scenes. But the problem of all those miniature spheres that snowfall lasts just few seconds. So I've decided to invent a #SnowGlobe with eternal #snowfall. Aww! And #giant , of course, - so it can be seen from anywhere in my room.To make this cuboid-shaped snowdome you will need: 3 photo frames (A4 format), cardboard box, shower puff, polystyrene foam (or use a bean bag filling) and a table fan. DIY Desk Decor And Organization – Gold And White Contemporary Minimalist Style IdunnGoddess 2018-11-25 | Get inspired with my easy DIY projects for your desk and room! DIY desk shelf, knitted display for notes, DIY desk lamp and pencil holders – everything is light, minimalist and pretty scandi :)I start with a #DIY desktop shelf made with photo frames (1 – 20x30 cm, 2 – 10x15 cm). It would be much more faster to make if my frames would be gold. Instead they were black, so I've painted them white first (as a prime coat) and then covered with gold. Always use a first white paint coat if your surface is dark. The second DIY is a super adorable and super easy display-organizer for notes, pictures and any cute or necessary stuff. All you need is a canvas (mine was 30x30 cm) – or use a lid from shoe box, also nails (or thumbtacks), and old (useless) knitted scarf (you will not damage it and will be able to remove it from canvas anytime).Next – DIY #Desk Lamp (or functional decorative light). I took a clear vase and painted the top and the bottom with gold acrylic paint. Inside the vase I put the artificial leaf of fern and fairy lights. And, of course, turned the vase upside down. Looks like a cool giant glass tube! Love it!And the last, but not least project – is a 3-in-1 pencil holder. By the way, it could also be used as a candle stick! I took three empty reed diffusers (cube bottles from home fragrance) and painted all lids with gold, and every bottle with different color – light blue, pale pink and white (acrylic paints). Set it as a pyramid or just in a row – they look cute anyway! All you'll need is a plastic trash can, magnets and lids from Pringles.This DIY project is very quick, cheap and easy to do and it really works! I haven't decided how to wash forks and spoons in my invention, but it works perfect with plates and cups! :)For my #DIY dishwasher I used a plastic trash can which was 32x17 cm and 28 cm high; 4 Pringles lids, magnets (diameter 1 cm, 12 pieces), 2 popsicle sticks, 2 cabinet knobs, 4 rubber bands and a super glue. Just in case – you can get the sand from any pet shop.The next DIY is a miniature electrical device – capacitor. You will need a small cardboard box, aluminum foil, LED tealights, black acrylic paint and 4 push-pins. Or you can design your own. The main to make this lab full of electrical devices.The third mini DIY – is a miniature stand with chemicals. Paper drinking straw, a piece of cardboard, white fabric painted with watercolor, old nail polish bottles and jute twine. The fourth DIY project is a mini medical-electrical bed – the place where the “Modern Prometheus” (Victor Frankenstein's monster) was created.The fifth miniature is a mini brain. LOL Just a cherry on top for medical lab. LOL You will need a walnut and acrylic paint to make it.And the last - as always in my miniature Zen Gardens – mini rake made as monster's hand :) You will need a roll of baking paper, hot glue, acrylic paint and a popsicle stick.To decorate this mini scene I also used old batteries and pieces of wire. How To Make A Miniature School Zen Garden – DIY Stress-Relieving Desk Decoration IdunnGoddess 2018-08-26 | Super cute #DoItYourself stress-relieving desk toy – Mini School Zen Garden! Write with a chalk on a miniature chalkboard, make notes in the mini notebook, discover new places to visit on mini globe, draw in the sand and calm your nerves :)#ZenGarden is a place to calm, think and feel a great relief. Drawing in the sand can really effectively reduce your stress. And studying at #school could be very stressful. So having this #DIY mini version of actual Japanese garden (stress toy) on your desk is really useful.I start with a base. As usual for my #mini gardens I use a lid from cardboard box and the sand (bought at pet shop). But this time I make a cover for sand out of felt. The holes in it are shaped like letters ABC. So it's kinda pretty schoolish, right? ;)The next I'm doing is a #miniature desk and miniature chair. I do them both with hot glue and cotton buds, but you can use cardboard and toothpicks as well :)The third project is a miniature spiral notebook. You will need a mechanical ballpoint pen, awl or big needle and paper, of course. What Zen Garden could be without sand-rake? None! Right. LOL So the next one is my usual, but new-shaped, mini-rake :) Super glue, 4 paper clips and wooden stir stick.And what a class could be without a blackboard? LOL So obviously the next project is a miniature chalkboard. You can use chalkboard paint, but I used just a regular acrylic paint and it worked out great. Probably you have a question – why did I use a clear tape from the back side of paper? Well, it is to prevent paper deformation of moisture (wet paint). For the frame I use wooden stir sticks, and bamboo skewer as a stand.We were always chatting in class with paper planes with notes at primary school. For this project I painted puzzle pieces with different colors but before filming I was thinking to spray paint them with gold. So it's up to you ;)Number 2 – #DIY Mermaid scale notebook. Use paper of blue shades (including glitter paper) and make about 200 circles with hole punch to cover all the notebook's surface (A4). Sounds like “seriously? 200?” - lol – but it doesn't take much time, trust me :) Use a glue stick to secure “scales” row by row (from bottom to top).The third notebook is one of my favorites - “You Are One In A Melon”. To make it I used a mirror paper (green, silver and pink), but it works great with regular colored paper too. Next – DIY Fabric Cover Notebook. I used fabric gift bag for this project, but you can use any kind of fabric – just make sure you love the pattern :) It is super easy and quick. And looks just awesome.The fifth – DIY Marble Notebook. And when I say DIY I really mean it :) In this part of the video I show how to draw a marble pattern. You will need just a pencil, black liner pen, pink (or any color you want) felt tip pen, white acrylic (or watercolor, or gouache) paint, gold paint or marker and a gold ribbon. Super fast, super easy and soooo beautiful :)Moving on – number 6 – DIY Cactus Notebook.Great idea to show your pins collection. DIY Entryway Makeover And Decor In European Minimalism Style – How To Organize Small Entryway IdunnGoddess 2018-07-22 | In this video I declutter, remake and decorate my small flat entryway in my favorite interior design style - European minimalism. Hope you'll find my experience useful and inspirational to make your own entryway room stylish and organized.I challenged myself for this DIY project - to use only European materials, furniture and decorations. Even scissors and clear tape were made in Germany. LOL But that's not so hard for me because I live in Europe ;) I'll specify...I live in a very old European city (my native), in a flat which is in a pretty old house. That's common for European cities. I never have free time to remake or upgrade anything except the room I film my videos. And my entryway looked literary awful. LOL So in the very beginning of the video I show you my entryway as it is (was) – no tricks and preparations LOLHere are few tips I've followed while preparing to the makeover:- minimalism is “light” and “free space”. So I chose white paint to make the small space look bigger. Plus I used latex paint which is easy to clean, because I have a dog and she loves to sleep near walls LOL- not too much colors! I chose white-black-wood color combination which is traditional for European minimalism. Plus light grey and pale blue.- I used things I already had at home to decorate my space. Like skateboard deck, or whiteboard. So it is not necessary to buy something special – just turn your useless stuff into something new, useful and stylish.- Things everyone needs in entryway – coat rack, some hook rack to hang bags and purses, the place for keys, shelves for shoes, mirror. To store things that are to large to hang on the hook rack (such as backpacks, umbrellas etc.) I used a storage pouffes, which can be used as seats. They matched perfectly to the side table, which can be used as a place to store keys, phones, newspapers, letters etc. And, of course, my corner with table and seats is a great looking place to drink a coffee or read a magazine.- What else do I store in my entryway – jewelry (so I've made a DIY minimalistic jewelry holder-wall art), perfume (I hanged the shelves on the wall), sunglasses (I made a DIY sunglasses organizer which is a cute interior decoration too).- If you will use a carpet in your entryway – just place it as far from the entry door as possible. It will be hard to clean. How To Make Crystals and Fake Geodes In 5 Minutes – Easy DIY Crystals With Sea Salt and Nail Polish IdunnGoddess 2018-07-15 | Super easy and super cute way to expand you crystal and geode collection. For these awesome crystal geodes you will need just sea salt, nail polish and stone from the street. So these DIY crystals are made WITHOUT borax or alum powder. Just a smart way to cheat nature ;)I show three ways to make fake geodes. The first one is a painted sea salt for bath with nail polish and nail polish remover, any stone from the street you think might look cool and clear nail polish to secure the salt. Note – salt painted with nail polish dries much more faster than the salt colored with food coloring. So it will not take much time.The second way to make a crystal geode is to glue colored sea salt to the rock with hot glue. I also used gold acrylic paint (which could be replaced with gold nail polish) to paint the stone and holographic glitter nail polish and pearl nail polish to make some shiny accents on salt crystals.And the third way, in case you live in the area without stones :) - just to glue big crystals of sea salt with hot glue. 5 DIY Fruit Phone Cases And Phone Grips – How To Make Phone Cases and Grips Shaped Like Fruits IdunnGoddess 2018-07-08 | Easy and beautiful DIY fruits phone cases, grips / popsockets - Avocado, Watermelon, Pineapple, Grapes and Orange, Lime or Lemon with slime inside the popsocket. Super cute and juicy! I start with a DIY Avocado Phone case with DIY Popsocket – Avocado's Seed. It is super easy and just awesome. You will need a table tennis ball (ping-pong ball), brown paint, suction cup (my was 5 cm diameter) and a picture (or drawing) of a half of avocado without a seed.The next DIY Phone Case and Phone Grip is a DIY Slime Orange, Lemon and Lime is an Orange / Lemon / Lime (citrus) popsocket. And that is the most awesome about it – the DIY popsocket filled with slime! Change the slime color – and get a different fruit. Want to calm down? Just open a popsocket and play with slime!I used airplane travel bottles kit that can be found in every supermarket or cosmetic shop. These sets are cheap and almost always clear.The third DIY is a Grapes Phone Case. Absolutely stunning! And all you need to make it is a clear glass pebbles (glass nuggets, glass gems) and purple nail polish! It looks fantastic. The next DIY Phone Grip is a DIY Pineaple popsocket. I decorated it with gold sequins to make it even more sunny. You will need yellow yarn (acrylic), green felt (acrylic) and a suction cup. You can stay here, or move further and decorate it with sequins (or rhinestones, as a substitute) as I did.And the fifth project is a DIY Watermelon with glitter Phone Case and phone grip. For the phone case you will need a piece of pink card stock, pink glitter, clear nail polish and any kind of paint (green and white). For the watermelon popsocket you will need a toilet paper roll, hot glue (or fill the ring of roll with air dry clay), acrylic paint (pink, white, green), pink glitter and clear nail polish. My Every Sunday DIY Natural Skin Care Routine Plus Three DIY Projects IdunnGoddess 2018-06-24 | In this video I show my face care, hair care and hand care routine using only natural ingredients. And, of course, I show how to make three DIY projects – DIY Makeup Remover, DIY Mirror Decoration and DIY Motivation Wall Art.I start with DIY Natural Face Care. First step is to open pores with steam bath. To make it you will need 3 tablespoons sea salt, 700 ml hot (boiling) water, a bowl and a towel to cover yourself for better effect. Keep safe distance from the hot water (about 15-25 cm) and steam your face for 10 minutes. Then just gently dry it with towel.The second step is a DIY lip scrub. You will need a sugar to make it. Just scrub your lips with sugar in circular motion for 3-5 minutes, then rinse with water or remove sugar with wet cotton pad. I use beet sugar because it is vegan.The third step is to clean nose pores (to prevent (or remove, if you have) blackheads). I use a slice of lime fruit. Just press it to your nose for 2 minutes. Works great!Fourth - a DIY facial scrub. I don't use any special recipes for it – just scrub wet face with ground coffee. It works just perfect! I wouldn't say I do it too gently, but not too hard too. After scrubbing your skin feels like a dolphin skin LOL It's awesome. I also scrub all my body with ground coffee once a week. Wash with warm water. NOTE! You would probably need to wash your face twice, because sometimes coffee paint your skin. It's ok, just wash your face again.The fifth step is a DIY Natural facial mask. It is anti-aging and vitaminize your skin with vitamin C – the most powerful anti-wrinkles vitamin. This is not the one vitamin in this mask, but the most important. So you will need a half of avocado, a piece of mango (vitamins A and C) and a branch of parsley (vitamin C champion). Avocado gives your skin natural fats and those two, I would say “attack” your skin with vitamin C. Benefits of this mask: Avocado contains fatty acids, beta carotene, protein, vitamin A, E and D which moisturize your skin, protect it from ultraviolet rays and increase collagen metabolism.Mango is rich in vitamins A and C – antioxidants! It contains collagen which smooth your skin and prevent wrinkles appearing.Parsley – is a champion in vitamin C! It is anti-aging, full of anti-cancer antioxidants, prevents acne!I keep this mask on my face for 20 minutes (till it's surface will dry) and rinse with warm water. BUT! Just after applying this mask on your face – cut two slices of cucumber and put them on your closed eyes for 5 minutes. Super relaxing and nourishing you eyelids with vitamin C!I've decided to make DIYs while sitting with mask. :) So here the first one (of three) – the best ever DIY Makeup Remover. All you need is a cotton pads (I took 14 for 1 week (2 per day)), a jar with lid and extra virgin olive oil. Use it for one week and then refill the jar. It is the best make-up remover ever.Moving to the hair! My Natural DIY Hair Care is very simple – just apply extra virgin olive oil all over your hair (don't forget the tips) with plastic hairbrush or comb. If you have oily hair – better to not apply the olive oil on head's skin. Wait for 30 (at least) minutes (better 40) and wash with your regular shampoo. NOTE! All my skin care routine is vegan and cruelty-free! So please, use only cruelty-free shampoo!Meanwhile... DIY project #2 – DIY Vanity Mirror Decoration. I took a mirror and decorated it with artificial flowers and leaves – natural-looking mirror for natural skin care :)DIY Natural Hand Care is the next! Ground rice with mortar and pestle (just to crack every seed on three-four parts, don't make a rice flour) and scrub your wet hands with ground rice for 3 minutes. It whiten your skin and makes it soooo smooooth. Awesome!And the third DIY – is a DIY Motivation wall art on canvas. You can make it on paper and put into the frame ;) I used an Oscar Wilde's quote “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken”. It matches for the theme of the video I think. I printed the image I made myself in photo editor app for my smartphone. You can print it from my site (idunngoddess.com) or trace the image from the screen to paper. Then painted the letters, covered them with glitter nail polish, cut them off and glued to the canvas. I placed a little mirror instead of letter "o" and I think it suits to the phrase perfectly. I show how to make a DIY Headrest Phone Holder, DIY Headrest Mirror With Light and Makeup Organizer, DIY Travel Pillow With A Hood out of an old hoodie, DIY Car Air Freshener, super useful DIY Cleaning Roller, DIY Cooler Bag (or case) for cold drinks, super easy DIY Car Sun Visor Organizer and DIY Mini Trash Can. I start with a Do-It-Yourself headrest mirror with light plus make-up organizer. You will need a hard cover pencil case with zipper, cheap LED touch light, pocket (travel) mirror and a knit elastic. Super easy and super useful. Cause, you know, passengers on the back seats also want to be cute LOLThe second DIY idea for your car is a DIY Insulated Cooler Bag For Bottle with cold drinks. I must confess that I... umm.. let's just say “don't like” heat. So it is very important for me to have a cold water or lemonade or juice in the car. So here it is – my super cool cooler LOL To make it you'll need: cheap silver folded bubble car sun shade (sometimes you can get them for free at gas (filling) stations), cute socks (you'll need just one), sport bottle (better transparent), rubber band and hot glue (or a needle with a thread). It works perfect!Next thing you can make for your car with your own hands is a really awesome sticky cleaning roller. You will need a paint roller and a masking tape (you can get it from one store LOL). After cleaning seats just peal of the upper layer of masking tape and your roller is ready for use again. When all the masking tape will be over – just wrap the roller with the new one again. The next one is one of the easiest DIYs I've ever made LOL – DIY Sun Visor Upgrade. Just put on a knit elastic or strong rubber band on the visor and you're done. You can store your lip gloss or comb, photos, money or documents etc. there. One word – useful! … And the other one – easy!DIY Air Freshener is the next project. I took a glass jar, made a holes in the plastic lid, glued up the artificial flower (pink rose), put stones and salt into the jar and added few drops of essential oil (I prefer mint and lemon). Secure the freshener with a puff double-sided tape. Add essential oil every 2 weeks to keep the fragrance strong enough to fill the car.Oh, my favorite – DIY Car Headrest Phone Holder. If you have two pieces of rope (I used a clothes line) and two paper clips – then you have a back seat video player and a game console LOL Super easy way to hang your phone on the headrest and watch movies at the back seat while traveling. I lllooove this!Safety first. And clean car second! LOL So I made a mini trash can for candy wrapping, some paper wastes and any other things you need to put somewhere to throw them out later. There are so many places for bottles and cups in the car that are always empty. So I bought some cheap car ashtray, painted it white (which was not necessary of course), glued up gold paper circles and put it in the “hole” near steering wheel. And know what? It is always full every time I come back home LOLAnd the eighth DIY – original and cozy DIY Travel Pillow With A Hood out of an old hoodie. You will need an old hoodie (obviously) and a hot glue or a needle and a thread. Cut off sleeves, sew them as I show in the video, then fill them with pillow filling and sew the cut hood inside. It is super cute and super cozy!P.S.
