R&N F Units on an Autumn Excursion NS6677 2022-10-12 | The day after the failed 2102 excursion day, although it still happened with SD50s. The 2 F Units purchased from NS about 3 years ago led a train from Reading to Jim Thorpe and return. Enjoy some new locations and nice colors. 10/9/2022
Reading and Northern Autumn Excursion powered by Fast Freight Units NS6677 2022-10-11 | First clip in the video shows the R&N 2102 powered the NB train, however equipment issues with 2102 had it pulled off in Port Clinton. The Fast Freight SD50s usually follow the train just in case of issues. Well today they were needed to take over. Although many people were disappointed, it was still a nice day to chase the train to Jim Thorpe and back. 10/8/2022
Chasing M511 on the CSX Toledo, plus some goodies! NS6677 2022-10-09 | I'm out in Deshler OH. And M511 turns from the B&O Main to the Toledo Sub here. M511 had an SD40-3 and SD40-2 for power. Seen at Deshlers B&O Signals and South Ottawa. The M511 meets a local heading into the siding at Ottawa. Which is seen again at XN Tower. An IORY Local is heard idling as the CSX local closes in and seen as it heads south. 9/29/2022.
NKP 765 on the Tri-State Scenic Steam Excursion NS6677 2022-10-04 | From Edon OH to Hillsdale MI and return. A very sunny day. Many nice locations are seen. This was a good day. A small surprise at Hillsdale as well. This was the first time I have seen 765 since 2013 when it did the Pittsburgh Line excursions.
Western Maryland Scenic Railroad with new GE Power NS6677 2022-09-24 | The Western Maryland Scenic Railroad is leasing a B32-8 from Northern Illinois & Wisconsin Railway dba NIWX Corporation. This unit was leased to help the railroad when they need to use the diesels because the GP30s need overhauled. This is the first GE on the WMSR's roster. Finally painted into the Standard paint scheme leads the way. I've been waiting many months for this to happen. And it happened on a very sunny day. 8/12/2022.
Reading and Northern Iron Horse Rambles Steam Duo. (Featuring 2102 and 425) NS6677 2022-08-15 | Shot on August 13th 2022. Featuring the famously restored R&N 2102 and R&N 425. Shot at a bunch of locations, the final one being Atlas Siding, a bit south of Tamaqua. Traffic was insane during this day. And made chasing difficult, especially during the afternoon on Route 895. Although I made sure to check out the train parked at the Outer Station in North Reading. A trip up to East Mahonay Jct to listen to both Steamers wide open, pulling up the grade. I plan on shooting the labor day excursion, but this all depends on the weather. And possibly October 1st before the days get too short. So watch for better locations on a future chase.
Union Pacific Tackling Aikins Hill on the Kansas Sub NS6677 2022-07-31 | Visited here for the first time in 2019. Although spent only a couple of hours. I spent about 5 hours or so this time, but sadly only saw 4 movements. When I showed up a westbound just finished going through. Aikins is between Marysville and Topeka. A spur to the Jeffery Energy Center splits off here. Note a westbound having a KCS leader. A nice surprise. 6/16/2022
Action at Kansas City Union Station NS6677 2022-07-24 | With Santa Fe 5704 watching the trains roll by. Close call on the KCT being blocked by a double lengthed BNSF stack train. Once again the ATCS was very helpful! The UP train was going to be "Going around the world" Going west through here, then heading to Santa Fe Jct to turn North to head to Neff Yard. 6/17/2022
Trains at BN Xing and the UP Transfer to Armourdale Yard NS6677 2022-07-17 | A long double empty coal train heading North to Murray Yard and beyond, plus a train on the BNSF Flyover, plus a bonus. The double coal was holding up Amtrak #6 at the junction and throttles up to head for Kansas City Union Station. A mile or so ahead. The UP transfer is going from Argentine Yard to Armourdale. 6/17/2022. Big thanks to ATCS for this. Being able to see where stuff was on the trip I took.

The South Kansas and Oklahoma Railroad at Wichita NS6677 2022-07-03 | Shot at S Junction where the UP Enid Sub and K&O join the BNSF line head North a short distance to their yards. Both SD40-2s are both ex Burlington Northern units. The engines go around the train and work the K&O in town, and then head back to Winfield. I left after the train starts to work the yard to go shoot a BNSF local. 6/14/2022

Bicentennial Santa Fe 5704 being positioned at Kansas City Union Station NS6677 2022-06-17 | Shot on June 13th 2022. Restored Santa Fe SD45-2 5704 was worked on in Mid America Car in KC and stored while waiting for the Santa Fe modelers soceity week. The evening before the start of the event. Two BNSF diesels dragged the unit to Union Station and moved it on Track 27 for all to see a classic beauty on display. Enjoy! Easter Express on the Everett Railroad NS6677 2022-04-17 | Good bit of video of Everett #11 arriving in Hollidaysburg and hooking on to it's train, plus a switcher working Degol Car, Lehigh Valley Switcher 126 on the back of the train. Train went as far as Kladder where kids and families got off the train to get eggs full of candy and more, plus meet the Easter Bunny . I haven't fanned the Everett in years. It was a nice sunny day. A nice run by is seen at a bridge between Hollidaysburg and Kladder. 4/15/2022
A chase of CSX 3194 up Sand Patch Grade Part 2 NS6677 2022-04-03 | A second part to shooting CSX I136 on Sand Patch Grade, this time another 3 new locations. East Of Confluence On the Lowline at Frantz Rd, Salisbury Viaduct (Watch how the train loses speed once it hits the Keystone Grade at Salisbury Jct) and the famous Horseshoe Curve at Mance (I haven't seen that location since 2010), so it was time to revisit, and the place looks the same, but with sadly less traffic. Hoping 3194 stays on the I135/I136 pool for a few more runs. This train had 478 axles. Note I'm using a new tripod and it was broken in with this train.
AVR Action in the city of Pittsburgh NS6677 2022-03-27 | First shot is of the incoming Island Ave Turn coming into CP Field in heavy dynamic braking where it will go from CSX rails to NS at Bloom. Next is of a following day's turn coming through Solomon and CP Pitt heading toward the Amtrak Station. Then later on is the train emerging from Schenley Tunnel. Two ex Conrail SD60Ms 6001 and 6005 for power on the train. February 2022.
CSX Honoring Our Law Enforcement #3194 trip to Sand Patch Grade NS6677 2022-03-20 | CSX 3194 leads I136 through McKeesport, Confluence and Keystone Viaduct. A long doublestack train with 3194 up front and DPU units 929, 999. A nice chase through unfamiliar territory. But finally able to see this engine in action and leading the way. 2/26/2022
Action at La Porte and Wellsboro IN NS6677 2022-03-13 | Footage I did not air. This is when I showed up to start my long Chicago vacation. Was coming through La Porte and heard 2 Amtrak's calling signals, the Capital Limited and Lake Shore Limited. I missed the Capital by a couple of minutes, but had time to get ready for the Lake Shore who was on his approaches. After him and another train, I moved to Wellsboro to shoot some CSX and CN action. 7/31/2021

Action on and around the Famous Rockville Bridge NS6677 2022-02-27 | Featuring Amtrak's Heritage Units 100 and 108, during my visit to the Harrisburg Area, Amtrak 108 was sent in for it's 90 day inspection. As it's been on the Pennsylvanian since November. So it was a rare catch getting 2 Heritage units on both westbound and eastbound runs. 1/19-1/22/2022
Amtrak 42 rolls across Rockville Bridge with Heritage Power NS6677 2022-02-20 | With Heritage 100 leading the way. 100 should be on the Pennsylvanian for a couple of months, so expect some more videos of this engine. Reading and Northern Fast Freight Twins on the NRFF NS6677 2022-02-13 | Shot on a Friday. I was hoping to shoot the recently released R&N 3059 leading, but missed out and got the 2 SD50-2s 5018, and 5019. Shot at Port Clinton and East Mahonay Jct. A local with just an SD40-2 for power is waiting at East Mahonay for the NRFF to show up. Sun was in full force this day, but the sun was behind the mountain at PC. 1/21/2021
Strasburg 475 running trains in the Winter Time NS6677 2022-02-06 | Although hardly any snow on the ground (Sadly). Got some nice video at Strasburg Station, Paradise and Cherry Hill. 1/22/2021. There were 4 trains run, I shot the 1200 and 3PM runs. I skipped the 130PM run to go shoot Amtrak at Lancaster station.
Amtrak 43 with Heritage Unit 100 at Lancaster PA NS6677 2022-01-30 | Shot at the Amtrak Station with the Midnight Blue Heritage unit leading. Amtrak 108, the other Heritage unit that was running around on the Pennsylvanian has been sent in for it's 3 month inspection. So it is off the run. 1/22/2021
Southern Style on NS 39G NS6677 2021-11-28 | Due to some unknown reason, the lead engine on 39G was facing east instead of west. The second unit was facing west, but since it was not a DPU equipped engine, it was useless except as a trailing engine. Gotta love some unexpected surprises on NS, although it doesn't happen often. 11/20/2021
Action on the BNSF Chillicothe Sub NS6677 2021-11-21 | Shot at Edelstein and at Houlihan's Curve. Note I shot a UP train on the Peoria Sub from Edelstein, and then on the Peoria Sub with another UP train on the ground by the Grain Elevators. A nice scene with the UP DPU and a WB BNSF. Shot in August 2021. Not long after this video was shot, the line lost it's ATCS coverage due to BNSF switching to a non monitorable protocol. It was nice while it lasted.
Multiple train action at CP 502 on the NS Chicago Line NS6677 2021-11-14 | Featuring the NS Bottle Train, a CN local on the Lakefront Sub which was a complete surprise. Amtraks 29 and 49 are seen minutes apart from each other. The CSX 3415 (Georgia Road Emblem) is seen at the front of an Eastbound. Note I did not film any of the Steel Mill switch moves. I was asked by security who sent a worker up to the bridge not to film any of their moves. Which I agreed not to. But lots of extra horn is seen. This area gets a lot of wind, note in the last video I shot at CP 502, the audio was almost completely ruined due to the wind, this time I am shooting with a stereo mic with a windscreen.

CN Action at Griffith and Dyer IN NS6677 2021-10-10 | Lots of action on CN in Griffith, thanks to ATCS at both locations, it was easy to track movements. after seeing the train of IC SD70s, I decided to head west to Dyer interlocking with time to spare, since they stopped the train just west of Griffith. The Western Maryland Train up to Frostburg and Back NS6677 2021-10-06 | Shot in the Narrows in Cumberland (Meeting Amtrak 30 in a rare meet), Helmsetters going both ways, Frostburg at the Depot and Turntable, and a location off Woodcock Rd. Enjoy plenty of RS3L Horn Action. First time in years I have shot the WMSR. And hope to again with 1309 taking the rails again soon. 9/12/2021.
IRM Car Show-Frisco 1630-Shay 5 NS6677 2021-09-26 | Shot at the 30th Annual Vintage Transport Extravaganza in August at the Illinois Railway Museum, Some scenes of the cars and other automobiles at the show are seen. The Frisco 1630 and J Neils Lumber Shay 5 are seen as well. This show was the last day for the Shay 5 as it would be taken out of service for the rest of the year for maintenance. Included are scenes inside Spaulding Tower and views of the CTC Board are also seen along with the Tower operator. Enjoy.
IRM Diesel Days-Day 3. 8/8/2021 NS6677 2021-09-12 | Highlights were seeing the BN U30C on the Nebraska Zephyr, and then later in the Take the Throttle event. Seeing the SP SD7 on the Caboose Train too was a bonus. A Full Cab Ride from the East Union Depot all the way to the end of the line and back on the Santa Fe FP45 #92, on the train was WC 7525 was fixed and was on the 3:00PM, 4:00PM and 5:00PM coach train. I talked to the person who drove the BN U30C by the Santa Fe sign, this was your Take the Throttle Ride! Also seen are a couple of different run bys of the Rock Island GP7R, Including a drone video (with no audio) of the short route.
IRM Diesel Days-Day 2. 8/7/2021 NS6677 2021-09-05 | On Saturday, A big hit was the Rock Island GP7R on the Caboose train and Coach Train. Note the Wisconsin Central SD45 was supposed to do the caboose train for the afternoon, but was having issues, so the 6847 was put in it's place. Note I did not catch everything. But I did what I could. Enjoy.

A Full cab ride from the Museum to the End of the Line and return will be on Day 3, in #92 as well. Note not everything is filmed that ran that day. My biggest hit for Day 1 was TTI U28B 260. Been wanting to see this engine for a long time. As well as #92. The museum is a big success, and I was happy to attend the weekend.

A Super Long, and Colorful NS 66R at Summerhill NS6677 2021-06-06 | With 4 CN units in the consist, 2 on the head end behind an NS Cab Signaled SD70ACU, and 2 more in the middle as Mid Train DPU Power, note the engine behind the leader is a 100th Anniversary unit, and all 4 CNs have the emblem on the side of the cab. The train was around 200 cars long, and 2 trains combined. Note this train is going east on Track 3. Made possible by the Cab Signal Wayside Removal Project. 3/7/2021
NS 23Z with Old Glory Watching Exits Allegheny Tunnel NS6677 2021-05-31 | NS 23Z exits Allegheny Tunnels with an SD70ACC rebuild leading the way, it roars out of the Tunnel as it defeats the mountain with over 2 miles of train behind it. Shot at the Tunnel State Park and on the Jackson St overpass in Gallitzin. Note the Tunnel Inn B&B in the background. A must go to for any railfan visiting the area. NS 4001 leading the Stinky Trash Train NS6677 2021-05-30 | Shot at MP 174 in Horingford and MP 189 in Kistler. Engine still looks good after being wrecked in McVeytown a few years earlier. Train 20T is seen meeting 63V at Kistler, heading the other way. 2/24/2021
