This 6.8km road climbs approx. 1000ft and has 27 corners (give or take a slight bend or two). The road surface is good with only a few bumps and ruts to challenge man (or woman) and machine. For half the distance the road clings to the side of the hill (offering good views over the Wairarapa valley).
