I backed up to try to create space and felt him pushing hard against me so I use a my forearm as a club to unbalance my opponent hoping to use his pressure against him. Note that I move my body out of the way as I hit him with the my forearm while pulling him forward through my space. I decided to limit my techniques to those taught in the seminar. I demonstrate that proper orientation of the axe blade is more likely to bypass the body armor. how important the angle of your ax body strike. A parallel ax strike will bypass the bottom of the body armor. I hit him in the gap above his leg armor and below his body armor in the crease of his inner thigh, adjacent to his athletic protector.. (lifts more than I in the weight room that is certain). He swept the 1 vs 1 categories at this event. Very strong and very nice guy. He made the armor he is wearing(OMG)! We are fighting with polearms, ans 1 vs 1 format scored like a boxing match with three, one minute rounds.Result: Anton chose not to continue after two hipshots resulted in unsustainable damage to his leg. The last two neck hits at the very end probably did not help.The hip hit were delivered at 2:40, with a "double pump" combo (also ripped his chainmail skirting) and at 6:45 with a feint to head followed by a max power hit. You might have to look closely to catch it, The best fakes are the ones not oversold as an experienced reflexes will know the difference. I went for it again because he was open to it before. Previous head strike from that angle had made him wary of a hot from that angle, so I used his focus on the head hits to bait him for the feint that would result in the opening of his defense for the punishing hip shot. Conclusion: It was a very enjoyable fight with a worthy opponent made sweeter with a gold medal as a result.

Worried about the mechanical failure of my knee,...I sort of "Nerd Rage".
