I have built this very compact Lithium 300grams 12V battery jumpstarter in 2009. It is still working today in 2015. It is really powerfull for the size and 100% safe. It can boost about 10-10 cars before it need a recahrge. It can give few hundred amp easy and keep voltage above 11V.
