In this episode, Zech will take you behind the scenes and show you how Woodlock self-produced our EP 'I Loved You Then,' for the first time.

Following this yearās release of their debut album, The Future of An End, the alt-folk trio of Woodlock released I Loved You Then EP (out now via Nettwerk Records). The five-track EP features acoustic renditions of fan-favourites from the album ā āSettle Down,ā āCollateral,ā āThe Future of An End,ā and āFeel It Comingā - in addition to a previously unreleased song called āI Loved You Then (And I Love You Still).ā
āI Loved You Then (And I Love You Still)ā is a heartfelt and tender song mourning the loss of manās most loyal companion. With additional vocals from Carlie Howman, guitarist Eze Walters sing over a gentle melody of warm keys, stripped-down percussions, and acoustic guitars. āThis song is dedicated to my dog Indie, who sadly passed away earlier this year,ā says Eze Walters. Adding, āshe was only around for a short while, but she made an impact in my life and will never be forgotten. Thanks Indie for looking after my wife and I when I was away and I hope you like the song.ā

The new recordings mark the first self-produced work from the band. āThe EP is the first body of work that was self-produced. Having to think simultaneously as an artist and a producer was an exciting experience. There was an element of giving myself the license to trust my decision-making. Iāve become very used to bouncing ideas off of people (producers, mixing engineers, writers) with far more experience in the field who would say this idea is good, bad, etc.; itās been a process I've enjoyed and want to do more of in the future,ā says Zech Walters (guitar/vocals).
Woodlock is Zech Walters (guitar/vocals), Eze Walters (guitar/vocals), and drummer Bowen Purcell.
