Firstly a MASSIVE THANK YOU to all the people who have joined the chain.
So far I have had contributions from over 60 makers from all over the world, bringing their unique styles and creativity to make the chain truly a one of a kind.
Collaborations from Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, France, Netherlands, Ireland and of course the United Kingdom.
So many different types of wood, resin, items in resin and even a silver trophy from 1882 melted down and turned into a ring for the chain.
I have made all the linking rings and a to display them I made a large mug tree. The chain is currently over 9 meters long.
If you would like to join the chain
Here are the design details:
a) the internal diameter should be 90mm
b) the external diameter should be 100mm
c) the width should be 20mm
d) you can use whatever material you would like
e) you can finish it however you would like
It would be amazing if you would like to film yourself creating your ring / hoop and send me the footage which I will then join together to make a massive collaboration video.
Chestnut Products have kindly offered to have all the rings sent to them for me to collect as I do not have a PO BOX. Please make sure the first line of the address is:
