On February 23, 2025. Officers from the Richland Police Department responded to a residence for the report of a domestic disturbance. While en route, officers were informed that the female party (Alexis) had left the scene. Shortly later, officers located her vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop due to her revoked license. Alexis initially pulled over before accelerating and fleeing from the traffic stop. Officers decided to terminate the pursuit after Alexis struck a parked vehicle and continued to flee.
Shortly later, officers from the Boscobel Police Department located the vehicle and attempted to initiate another traffic stop. Alexis refused to pull over and continued to flee. She opened up her door multiple times and reached speeds of 96 MPH before pulling into someone's yard. The officer ordered Alexis out of the vehicle and secured her in handcuffs. She was acting erratic and got resistive briefly while being placed into a squad car. During the struggle, the power button on the officer's body camera was pressed, temporarily disabling it.
Officers noted that there was not an ignition interlock device installed in the vehicle that Alexis had been driving. There were also open intoxicants located in the vehicle. While being transported to the Grant County jail, Alexis began banging her head on the window of the squad car. While at the jail, Alexis informed officers that she was out on bond for a domestic incident. Alexis said she was to have no contact with an individual named Austin but stated that she was just with him.
Alexis had slurred speech and officers could smell the very strong odor of intoxicants on her breath. Alexis stated she had consumed two larger sized Budweisers/Bud Lights, a Coors Banquet beer, and some Old Thompson whiskey earlier in the night. Alexis also stated that she had used cocaine 4 days ago. After conducting field sobriety tests, officers determined that she was impaired and transported her to the hospital for a blood draw.
Alexis was found guilty for Vehicle Operator Fleeing or Eluding an Officer, Operating While Intoxicated (4th), Resisting or Obstructing an Officer, Operating While Revoked, and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping. She was sentenced to 8 years of probation and required to pay $5,430 in fines.
