In this video I'll tell you how I approached this and how I re-created a Tunisian crochet headband that looks similar to the one shown online. It uses the beautiful Tunisian smock stitch, which gives a great texture and is a simple 2-row repeat.
In addition I'll guide you through a simple lining technique that is super easy, especially for non-sewers like me.
Make sure to check out the end of the video to find out if the headband really uses the tunisian smock stitch when I compare the original headband with my re-created headband.
Have fun creating your own beautiful Tunisian crochet headband incl lining for the upcoming fall and winter season.

The yarn that I used is the Chenillique XL yarn from @KnitPal . It is beyond soft, has super pretty colors and doesn't crumble like most other chenille yarns out there. Definitely a super great yarn to use for plushies, baby blankets, scarfs, cowls and so much more. Check it out!
Happy Crocheting!
Learn more about the plushy bear:
Usually I don't crochet amigurumis or animals except it's granny square chickens! But somehow the design for these little cute bears suddenly came to my mind and now I really can't stop making them. They are super easy to make, you can use up all kinds of yarn that you already have, not only chenille yarn, and they make a super cute gift. They remind me a lot of candy and gummy bears. Luckily they have zero calories ;-)
And since I really enjoy these little cute plushy bears, here's the full written pattern as a gift:
Start with an i-cord of 4 stitches (sts).
Round 1: Make 3 sc in the last i-cord st. Continue around the i-cord. Make 1 sc into the next 2 sts. Make 3 sc in the 4th i-cord st. Then make 1 sc into the last 2 sts of the round. (=10 sts)
Round 2: Sc, sc, bobble st (with 4), sc, sc, bobble st (with 4), 4 sc to the end. (= 10 sts)
Rounds 3+4: 1 sc in each st across. (= 10 sts)
Round 5: Make the same as round 2. (= 10 sts)
Round 6: 1 sc in the 1st 3 sts, then make a sc2tog, continue with 5 sc to the end. (= 9 sts)
Round 7: 1 sc in the 1st 3 sts, bobble st (with 3), 5 sc to the end. (= 9 sts)
Round 8: 1 sc in the 1st 3 sts, increase by making 2 sc in the bobble, then 5 sc to the end. (= 10 sts)
Round 9: 1 sc, sc, bobble st (with 2), 3 sc, bobble st (with 2), 3 sc. Add filling. (= 10 sts)
Round 10: Make sc across and skip both bobbles. Ch1 and fasten off. (= 8 sts)
Sew the head together.
Learn more about the @KnitPal Chenillique XL yarn:
This yarn was provided directly from Knitpal to try it out. No obligations. But since I really enjoyed working with it and since it resulted into such a fun pattern and project, I definitely wanted to do a little review of it. If you like this yarn and you want to work with it, here's a link to buy it directly from Knitpal's Amazon store: amzn.to/4miIy6Y *affiliate link*

Raglan pieces can be a challenge. They don't work for all bodies and sizes. It takes a few extra steps to get the raglan structured more fitted to your individual body.
In the video, you'll get a lot of tips and tricks, little tweaks, and adjustments to optimize the fit, for example, in the shoulders, armpits, and sleeves. If you ever made a raglan with a bad fit, you might find a solution for it here.
In addition I mixed crochetvwith knooking in the ribbings. Both techniques can be worked perfectly together to give your garments a special touch and finish.
Personally, I'm proud about it. Especially after frogging it multiple times. Will I ever make one again? Probably not π
Anyway, happy crocheting β€οΈ

There are no written instructions for this tutorial since I create most of my crochet pieces on the go.
After countless frogging and re-making sessions, I'll give you a bit more details why raglan pieces are quite the opposite of quick and easy. And how such a supposedly simple project almost got the best of me.
From ill-fitting necklines to gigantic sleeves... It takes a lot of thought and tweaks to get a raglan shirt with a great fit. Especially when your body type is not model like. Welcome to my world!
This video is also a reminder that it's ok when projects don't turn out perfectly from the get-go. Sometimes, the process takes a bit longer with a few extra detours here and there. In the end, it's all about making it work πͺ
Self motivation mode ON!
Happy Crocheting, and remember:
you can do it! β€οΈ

This tutorial contains multiple techniques: from crochet, to sewing, to tunisian crochet. The result is a super fun summer piece, very boho, very retro and flower power. It gives you enough space to put things in. And it's a cool fashion statement that makes all the heads turn.
Making this crossbody bag has really pushed me out of my comfort zone. I have zero talent for sewing, but I took the challenge. Including a lot of frustrating moments. Don't miss all the sewing drama chapters! π
Have fun watching this tutorial and making yourself a granny square crossbody bag this summer! π

Instead of a bottle cover you can easily take this tutorial to make candle covers, bags and so much more. And of course you can easily adapt it to the size of your water bottle.
It's a fun summer crochet project and supports you to drink enough during hot summer days. And it's really easy to make, absolutely beginner-friendly.
Have fun crocheting these super fun and useful crochet water bottle holders and always stay hydrated π

There are no written instructions for this tutorial since I create most of my crochet pieces on the go.
This raffia bag is really easy to make, very beginner-friendly. And you can make it in whatever size you like. I'll show you in this tutorial how to measure a bag that you already have and then create your new favorite summer bag accordingly.
This is my reveal project for the June edition of the BATTLE OF THE STITCHES. And if you want the chance to win this beautiful bag or any of the final projects of the other 3 creators participating in the BATTLE OF THE STITCHES June 2025, make sure to vote for your favorite at the poll post under my community tab AND place a comment to get an entry in the giveaway! π₯ How to VOTE π₯
Each creator will share a voting poll under their community tab.
Once you have checked out all the project reveals, you can then head over to the poll and vote for your favorite project.
Here's a list of all reveal projects (updated once posted):
Heather's project @stringsandthreads
βΆοΈ youtu.be/Quak8BEn5PA?si=2kJerX9WPB0dObpL
Teresa's project @critterscrochet795

βΆοΈ youtu.be/MVBmajvQbRU
π₯ How to WIN your favorite project π₯
If you want to win your favorite project completely for free, all you have to do is to post a comment under the poll post. It can be as simple as just an emoji, or you tell us, what your favorite project is. Each comment serves as an entry for the giveaway.
During our live next week (on June 25th) we will randomly pick one commenter who will then get their chosen project delivered to their home!
Good luck to everyone!

You can use these soap bags together with a block of soap instead of regular plastic bottle. It's more fun, more sustainable and cleans your entire body so much better. Of course, you can re-use them as many times as you like.
In this tutorial you will not only learn how to crochet the double crunch stitch, the selected stitch for the June edition of the BATTLE OF THE STITCHES, in the round. I'll also show you how to play with color to create stunning color patterns and designs for your soap bags.

Welcome to the June 2025 edition of the BATTLE OF THE STITCHES!
I'm super excited to be a part of this epic crochet showdown again where super talented creators battle it out to create awesome designs with one specific stitch. In this (rather chaotic) video I'm giving you a little overview and what's to come for BATTLE OF THE STITCHES and a little sneak of the selected stitch for the month.
The selected crochet stitch is the DOUBLE CRUNCH STITCH. You'll find the tutorial for the stitch and a bonus guest towel / dishcloth / sweat rag tutorial later on my channel and in my BATTLE OF THE STITCHES playlist:

Here's everything you need:
10 questions about me and my crochet journey
1. How did you learn to crochet?
2. Whatβs your favorite thing to crochet?
3. If you could only use one yarn for the rest of your life, what would it be?
4. What is the weirdest thing youβve ever made?
5. What is something youβll never crochet?
6. Where do you get your inspiration?
7. Favorite thing youβve made so far this year?
8. Crochet plans youβre excited about for the future?
9. Worst thing about crochet?
10. Favorite thing about crochet?
I answered all 10 questions while having a little walk through a small village in the east of France called Willer-sur-Thur. There's not thar much to see. But it's a really nice and calm place surrounded by mountains and beautiful nature.
If you have any additional questions that you always wanted to ask me, ask them in the comments or send me an email: tfdesignandmore(at)gmail.com

In this video, you'll see me crocheting on the beach, at the harbor, in front of tourist attractions, etc. With its relaxed vibe, this city is the perfect crochet getaway.
I'm beyond happy to share this with you. I was about 7 or 8 when I first visited this city, and I have millions of memories in my heart. So when we booked our holiday, I knew that I'd make a little video to get you all to spend some time with me in La Grande-Motte.
I hope you like it. And I hope one day you can visit La Grande-Motte, too. If I could, I would move there and spend my days crocheting on the beach π
Enjoy this final episode of our last holidays!
PS: The rtutorial for the project that I've been working on during my crochet in places videos will be ready next week! watch out for it π

After looking at this beautiful ferris wheel every day from our balcony, I knew I wanted to take a ride and crochet a bit while enjoying the breathtaking views. It was even a topic during my live from the beach.
This ferris wheel is one of the first of its kind that works with 100% solar power generated by itself. That's why it is called the "green wheel". π
It was really fun to crochet in the ferris wheel cabin. I wish the ride would've been much much longer because I could've gone on and on!
If you ever get the chance to visit the beautiful city of la Grande-Motte, make sure to take a little ride on the ferris wheel and enjoy the amazing views over the ocean and this phenomenal city. And if you see a ferris wheel wherever you are... do it! It's fun!
