New Polygon D6 at Charles Darwin National Park InvitationToAdventure 2022-07-31 | Recently I made the choice to get myself a mountain bike. The decision came after moving states and finding there were fewer opportunities to ride bmx, as well as fewer people to ride with. I spoke with some friends about choosing a good starter bike without going over the top, and we found the Polygon range of bikes from BicyclesOnline.The D6 had a few upgrades that I thought would keep the bike more current for longer. The dropper post was one of those, and I can already say that it was a great choice for that reason alone. The colour scheme was also my favourite of the three I looked at.I have some nice trails not far from home, after a few laps at Charles Darwin National Park in Darwin, I'm feeling confident on the bike. I've taken some falls and can share that a rocky trail sucks to come off on. Luckily not bad enough to keep me from going back.Here are some of my favourite highlights from the Wirraway Loop, Spitfire, Liberator and Three Sisters. Relaxing Timelapse - Broome to Kooljaman InvitationToAdventure 2022-02-26 | When travel seemed a bit freer a few years ago, we were lucky enough to be able to go and see what Kooljaman at Cape Leveque was all about. We set out from Broome to do the 200kms drive up the Cape Leveque road, and were not disappointed. Open road all the way, with those classic Kimberley colours. Somehow I got lost and had to do a few U-turns, but eventually arrived to pristine white sandy beaches to ourselves. I hope we see the resort open up again as soon as possible because it really was a special place to spend a few night. Worth noting that the last section of road is still unsealed and can get a bit deep, plenty of signs to remind people that you need a high clearance 4WD to get into there.
Down South - Bmx loop InvitationToAdventure 2022-02-22 | Going on bmx trips, is just as exciting now, as it ever was. Loading the cars, packing all of the gear and hitting the road to find new skateparks with your pals will never grow old.Riding at Collie, Boyanup, Pemberton, Margaret River and Dunsborough, with a few nights camp in between. The Southwest has so many ace skateparks, and also heaps of great nature as well. We were lucky to have some great nights under that stars while we were down there. Roll on the next one 🤘🏼
Australian Outback - The Kimberley InvitationToAdventure 2021-11-24 | Western Australia, and especially The Kimberley region, has so much room for activities.Working the tourist season in Kununurra was flat out, so it was only fair to enjoy our surroundings whilst we could. Riding a horse through rivers, driving our 4wd everywhere, taking a helicopter ride over The Bungles and paddling a kayak through crocodile territory were some of my highlights of this year.It's gonna be hectic, but I'm already looking forward to going back next year🤘 We have plenty of tours we didn't manage to do, we know where the best waterfalls are. The Highway - The drive from Perth to Kununurra InvitationToAdventure 2021-03-30 | The drive from Perth to Kununurra is fantastic. At this time of year the forest turns into a desert, the lush green plains turn into wide open beaches and around every corner the scenery changes dramatically. After having made the journey at the end of the dry season last year, the landscape was almost unrecognisable with so much new growth and greenery. I highly recommend trying it out around the end of the wet season.I used my DJI Mavic Air 2 to capture some sights along the way, making sure to document the journey. From the road I found myself drawn to other road users and the wide open spaces that we are lucky to have in Western Australia. The road is an interesting place, and all those who are on it have their own story to tell. Some are coming towards the end of their trip and others just beginning.
Groundswell Festival 2020 | Scarborough Beach Skatepark | Bmx Competition InvitationToAdventure 2020-11-18 | Some of the epic riding from the Drug Aware Groundswell Festival 2020. The event took place in sunny Scarborough at the beach front skatepark in Perth. Local riders took to the stage as the crowds gathered to watch the stunt show.Bmx riders of all ages and skill levels coming together to have one hell of a day. Sharing their passion with a heap of spectators, who roared with excitement every flip, spin and crash.I love how riders sit together, share their plans, give encouragement and hand out high fives all day long whilst still competing with each other. We know there are winners on the day, but honestly, everyone rode so hard, and had such fun doing what makes them stoked, that they all won!

Our RedSands Adventure InvitationToAdventure 2020-02-05 | This is our RedSands Adventure.We were lucky enough to be able to take a 2 person camper, Scotty, from Darwin to Perth. I had done the drive down Highway 1 between Darwin and Broome a couple of times before so we made that section very short to maximise the time between Broome and Perth. Our planned stops were Port Headland, Dales camp ground in Karijini, Tom Price, Exmouth and Cape Range National park, Quobba blow holes and Carnarvon, Denham and Fracious Peron National park, Kalbarri, Jurien Bay, Lancelin, Yanchep and finally we arrived in Perth. The total time we took for the trip was 3 weeks, I think we could have benefited from a week or so more to be able to fully relax at each spot, but having said that, the trip was still phenomenal, and we only needed a couple of days of long driving to be able to relax at our favourite spots on the other days. My most enjoyable spot was Herald Bight beachside camp ground in Francois Peron NP, the shark clips just off the shore come from there. Secluded beaches, fantastic weather and blue water!Ashton's was Cape Range, she's now reminded me how good the snorkelling and swimming there was, and the good coffee in Exmouth town centre.The RedSands Camper, never missed a beat and carried us through the whole journey without a struggle. As we were relocating from Broome to Perth, it carried all of our lives possessions and still had plenty of space to perform as a camper.This video is a mixture of clips from the trip, shot on DJI Spark, Canon 6d and Gopro. When we left England on that cold morning, driving in the car with my younger brother, Joshua, I never knew we would have come this far. I like the idea of looking back and being amazed at the journey that we never knew was possible. I enjoy just as much the imagination of not knowing how exciting the next few years/decades are going to be, and all of the things that we will do, that were never on our radar.I hope when we look back next time, Nathan will still be a happy non-smoker :D

Weekend Wandering - The Offcuts InvitationToAdventure 2019-05-05 | Henry Cakebread had an idea for a project back in 2016. We began to film some interviews and some bmx clips and it was all taking a sweet direction. But the project was cut short abruptly by each of us leaving to head to different corners of the world. Years later, I ended up back in England, I was keen to have the old clips to reminisce over the times I was good on a bmx and laugh at my choice of head wear. I took the clips from Henry and began making a video. Bali Bmx boys have a lot of fun 2018 InvitationToAdventure 2018-11-27 | It all began with a recommendation from a friend in Australia. Then after a few months living solo in Darwin, and hearing about a friend back home feeling the best bud blues, it was time for a bmx reunion. One of us flying to Bali from England, the other from Australia, for a few weeks of catching up. We were lucky to have had some of the best help anyone could ask for after landing in Bali. We were shown cool places, helped fine rooms to stay in, told the best places to eat. Yopy, your kindness will never be forgotten. Martha you have THE best pictures and Adi your video of the time we were in Bali was insane too! Seeing what a generation of riders, and skaters and surfers have achieved on this phenomenal island is brilliant. This one is going on my 'MUST RETURN' list for sure. Plenty of fun was had on and off the bikes, plenty of Tempeh was eaten and a fair share of Bintangs were drank. The arrival of Anton kicked us in to shape after having a 2 week beach holiday in Otres. We saw Brian's first day behind the bar and then we ventured from Done Right to Arcadia in Kampot where we sent as many flips as we could!! Now we are back in Phnom Penh for a few days, next weeks video we will be making our way to Siem Reap, spending Christmas there and then the week after, me and Nathan will part ways for our Australia adventure.
