Many Christians seem to think that without God, we'd be nothing more than pieces of material in a huge, cold universe - that there would be so little special about us that nothing we do or experience matters. After all, who cares if one clump of molecules rearranges another clump of molecules? This is harped on by apologists, who exasperate this intuitive feeling with word pictures about us being simple molecules, sacks of meat, or fungus on a rock. But this, of course, denies the fundamentals of our humanity and the most basic reasons we care about each other. This video will explore why people might have this sense that we must be spiritual to matter as well as explaining why it makes no sense.
