In this video I head back to the Norfolk Broads with Zed from Zed Outdoors for a bushcraft overnight hammock camp by Canadian canoe. We head off along the River Bure, loaded up with gear in search of a suitable quiet bit of woodland to set up camp, passing Mills, stunning historical stately homes, ancient bridges and lots of ducks and swans.

Arriving later than expected, we set up our hammocks and tarps and begin to gather and process enough firewood for our campfire. A well earned cuppa and then we get on with preparing dinner. Its the 25th January, Burns Night, and to commemorate the famous Scottish poet Rabbie Burns, a feast of Haggis, Neeps and Tatties is on the menu. The evening is spent catching up and enjoying the campfire beefier a restful night swinging in our hammocks below the starry Norfolk skies.

Morning brings sunshine and birdsong, coffee and scramble eggs on toast, before packing away and heading back down the river.

$Ammo Can Wood Burning Tent Stove. Make a Tent Heater for Winter Camping. Well, you asked for it, so here it is! In this video I will be making a wood burning tent stove for tent camping. Using an old army surplus .50 cal ammunition can, some car exhaust parts and some scrap metal, this can be build easily using basic tools - no welding needed! A tent stove prolongs the camping season to year round, no matter how cold the climate - the stove pipe exits the tent through a stove jack and all the smoke and harmful gases are exhausted safely outside. Being a wood burner with adjustable air intake and adjustable draw, the burn can be carefully controlled, meaning that you can keep your tent at a toasty and comfortable temperature using a fraction of the fuel that you’d need for an open fire. It goes without saying that care is needed when using any sort of heat source in a tent - modern synthetic materials can be highly flammable and a wide range of conditions can affect how efficiently the gases are exhausted. Always ensure that sleeping bags, synthetic clothing, fuel etc are kept well away from the stove at all times and ensure there is plenty of ventilation. A carbon monoxide detector can be a life saver, so use one. I really hope this video helps to answer some of the questions some of you have had about my old wood stove.
