Community is a powerful word, and, like its partner, civility, it is at the heart of what we explore as social scientists, and what we try to aspire toward as we use our sciences to explore how our intertwined lives shape the world we live in.
As we look ahead to the new year, let's seek a better understanding of community, and a renewed appreciation of civility, as we celebrate the work of the UC Irvine School of Social Sciences and the passion and purpose of the people who make it great.
