This video shows how a gas system interacts with a wind system on the Isle of Man. Since the gas system must meet certain minimum operating requirements, combining the two makes no sense. It is a clear example of the challenges you face when relying on intermittent renewables like wind, since you have to run the gas system inefficiently to support them.
