Jason Shiga makes some of the smartest comics I've read, but that doesn't keep them from being demented, silly, hilarious and even touching. From the all-ages choose-your-own-time travel -adventure hijinks of Meanwhile to the decidedly adult, perverse and amoral escapades in Demon, from the locked room mysteries at the heart of Bookhunter and Fleep! to the not-quite-Hollywood roadtrip dramedy of Empire State, this video takes a loot at what makes Jason Shiga one of the cleverest, slyest and most playful comics creators I've read, and one of my favourite creators working today.
