V-Spiral Cutterhead:
The symmetrical grooves make the board feeding centered and straight.

The inserts are slightly angled to the feeding of the board, which generates a shearing action, as opposed to the direct and straight helical cutterheads. Shearing cut leaves a much smoother finish and makes much less noise.

The V shape directs board feeding straight forward. It helps eject chips forward other than to one side, which makes dust extraction better.
