I decided to do a solo paranormal urbex investigation at the abandoned Wynlow lighthouse to find out the truth behind the urban legend. They say an old woman took her own life by jumping from the very top years ago, and ever since that tragedy, people claim her presence never left the location.
Ghost of Wynlow is a psychological indie horror game that relies heavily on a realistic VHS found footage style, and the atmosphere gets intense fast. Armed with a spirit box and a specialized camera, my goal was to scan the building for paranormal hotspots and try to understand what actually happened here.
Between switching the camera to black-and-white night vision to reveal hidden secrets and trying to ignore the randomized audio events, this lighthouse became an absolute nightmare to explore alone. The tension builds perfectly the higher you climb, and the way this game blends simulation elements with an unforgiving psychological dread genuinely caught me off guard.
