What can I say really? my whole world as I know it has changed and im almost broken because of it.
As some of you are aware I have lost everything in the Lismore floods that totally wiped the town and surrounding villages and almost did it again only 4 weeks later so I have been busy trying to make sense of it while trying to keep my sanity.
It's been extremely hard both physically and mentally to try and get through this and I was ready to walk after the second flood reared it's ugly head. I don't know what the future holds for me but right now I have to try and sort out the mess that is.
I look a mess I know. I havent shaved since the first flood back in late feb. I've lost a lot of weight as a result of not eating. I've only just brought a laptop and have had to deal with bad phone reception etc. It's a nightmare right now and hearing rain at night is just anxiety inducing to the point of not being able to sleep at all because of ridiculous fear of waking up in knee deep water. I could go on but I think you get the picture. I've put together a few different clips that I have collected since the flood just to give you an idea of what has happened here. I also downloaded a free version of my editing soft ware so excuse the watermark. I don't have any of my old stuff from my old laptop so everything you see is very raw.
Since i lost everything including my camera and my external hard drives I doubt I will be doing any explores again for a while and what I did have saved is now gone. My channel has now changed because of circumstances beyond my control so that could mean the end of my channel because all i'll be posting now for awhile will be house renovation vids. If my description sounds all over the place it's because I am mentally.
I'm lucky that dylan was not home when the flood happened. I'm lucky that the neighbour across the street had two kayaks he tied together to get us and the dogs to safety. I'm extremely grateful that non of the dogs freaked out while hauling them over the veranda railing and placing them into the kayak because I feel sick to my stomach thinking of what might have happened
Im grateful that we got out safe. I'm grateful the house didn't get swept of it's foundations like some I have seen. I'm grateful for all the people that have been there in our time of need with offers of food and shelter. I'm grateful for all the volunteers that saved so many from roof tops. I'm grateful for the ADF for the help they have provided to so many as well as the fire brigade and countless others that have provided support.
I don't know what else to say.
