When do you repot your Monstera? Just because roots come out of the bottom of your pot does not always mean it's time. Monsteras and other plants with thick roots can occasionally peek out the bottom of your pot before roots have filled in the entire pot. It's always best to take out your plant and inspect it first.
Choose a watering day when you know your plant will be mostly dry. Use your hands or utensils to loosen the roots from the soil. Sometimes roots have not made it to all parts of the plant. By knocking the soil loose you might find that you can put your plant back in the same sized pot with fresh soil.
If the pot is mostly roots its time to repot in a larger pot. Find something 1"-2" larger than your current pot soil. This is especially important if you're dealing with a smaller plant or if your soil is not well draining.
Choose a great soil medium. This will help you avoid root rot. Check out my other video on 3 different soil types for Monsteras and Philodendrons.
