Dr. Travis Cox, Core Associate Professor at Naropa, speaks about post traumatic growth and how some populations are better able to recover and grow after tragedy, not by accident, but because certain supports, mindsets, and community structures are already in place.
what if we started building that at the municipal level? not in crisis, but now, while things are relatively stable.
what if we invested in the conditions that help people and communities adapt, process, and grow, knowing challenges like climate instability are coming?
so when disruption happens, we’re not starting from nothing. we have something to draw on.
and those moments don’t just break us. they shape us.
TO THOSE WHO KNOW COMPASSION, MINDFULNESS, AND A LITTLE EDGE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD
You are ready to experience a different way of learning that will help you be the leader—the changemaker—you are meant to be. You are ready for Naropa, where experiential learning meets academic rigor. And we are ready for you.
