We've all used an emoji wrong and been accused of being racist. Or maybe you've done the move my mom did (I doubt it) when she texted me the words "smiley face" and then when I called her out on it, she said "I thought after you wrote that they turned into a smiley face." Maybe technology should finally catch up with my mom's forward thinking. It takes way more time to write the words, but it's leaves way more room for interpretation. Speaking of interpretation, that's what Nic and I do here! We went to a three day seminar that didn't have ANY Kombucha in Wichita and we learned all the real meanings behind emojis and here we just highlight a few because honestly I was so drunk during that seminar (I brought my own) that I don't remember a lot of it. I give myself a 100! But seriously, what is that one little design emoji that looks like a dainty tattoo? It probably is a tattoo and if I hang out here in Venice, California anymore, I'm sure to catch it on an ankle, but it's the Japanese symbol for "Good Luck." Superstitions would keep me from ever getting that tattoo. What's the weirdest tattoo you've ever seen? Prettiest? I'd like to know so I have an answer if anyone ever asked "what tattoo would you get if you were a totally different person?" Because either I'd choose a joke answer like a unibrow tattoo or a real one like some Welsh symbol that didn't make me look pretentious just like someone who's parents' parents came from Wales. I'm also German, but I don't need any tattoos, I have this face.
