🚕🇦🇪 WeRide has secured a self-driving vehicle trial permit from #Dubai's @rtadubaigov to begin Robotaxi trials without passengers.
We're kicking off with 50 #robotaxi GXRs across key areas like #jumeirah, Za’abeel First, Al Manara, Umm Suqeim, and Al Safa — soon expanding to Sheikh Zayed Road and Dubai International Airport. Our ambition is to grow the Middle East fleet to 1,000 vehicles and ultimately deploy tens of thousands of Robotaxis by 2030.

- This year: Trials with an on-board safety officer
- Early 2026: Fully driverless commercial operations
We also showcased our next-gen AV technology at the Dubai World Congress for Self-Driving Transport, engaging with Dubai's royal family, government officials, and the public.
🇦🇪 HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, visited our vehicle display featuring the #Robotaxi #GXR and #Robobus, reaffirming WeRide's role in shaping Dubai's autonomous transport future.

🏆 We received the top prize at the Dubai World Challenge for Self-Driving Transport, presented by Roads and Transport Authority Director General and Chairman, His Excellency Mattar Mohamed Al Tayer. The award was accepted by our Founder and CEO, Dr. Tony Han, recognizing our leading tech competence and ongoing contributions to Dubai's autonomous driving ecosystem.
