We’re going on an adventure — and you’re coming with us!
This November, the Lone Star Book Club is reading The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien. Whether it’s your first time or your tenth, this is your chance to journey through Middle-earth with a group of readers who love great stories and good conversation.
Each week, we’ll read a section of the book and meet here every Friday for a discussion video (except the first Friday, when we’ll just be getting started).
We’ll also have an ongoing Voxer group chat all month long — you can join in anytime, leave voice notes, and talk about your favorite moments as we read.

Week 1 (Nov 1–7)
📖 Book I, Chapters 1–5 — “A Long-Expected Party” → “A Conspiracy Unmasked”
→ Bilbo’s birthday, Frodo inherits the Ring, and leaves the Shire.
Week 2 (Nov 8–14)
📖 Book I, Chapters 6–12 — “The Old Forest” → “Flight to the Ford”
→ Tom Bombadil, the Barrow-downs, Weathertop, and Frodo’s wound.
