Skeleton Song || Cyberchase animatic Inspector Spinda 2022-06-21 | I started the very beginning of this video in February, but gave up very quickly. Last week I started working on it again and just kept going and now it's done somehow. This is a story that's been in my head for the last year and a half. No, these aren't my OCs, the characters are from Cyberchase, the quintessential show of my childhood. A lot of the elements here are from the show, but the rest are just based on headcanons I've had. SummaryHacker begins to work on a robot child at the request of his boyfriend, Coop (guy with the beanie). He's more interested in the mechanics and technical side of such than actually being a parent as he's a very aloof and emotionally unavailable person. When the kid, Slider comes to life, Hacker is quick to establish that he is not the kid's parent, but Slider still develops a liking towards him. Hacker's focus is entirely on his future projects. One night Slider is awoken, by Hacker in the living room, plotting aloud about using a shard of magnetite to destroy Motherboard. He ends up using the shard on Coop who's hardware becomes permanently damaged as a result. Flash forward to an alternate version of a season 4 episode where Slider is attempting to save his friends from being stuck in Tick-Tockia forever. He falls from the clock hand in an attempt to slow down time. As he falls, Hacker ones again sees him as the "skeleton" he once worked on and is unable to let him die. Slider rescues his friend, and Hacker leaves, acknowledging he does care for Slider somewhat. But for Slider, it's come too little too late compared to the harm he's caused already.
