Join Dr. Harold Bockelman for a tour of the National Small Grains Collection (NSGC) in Aberdeen, Idaho. Learn about plant genetic resources maintained by NSGC including wheat, barley, oat, rye, tritcale, rice, and Aegilops. Learn about the history of NSGC, as well as its day to day operations maintaining, regenerating, characterizing, documenting, and distributing germplasm. NSGC is a part of the U.S. National Plant Germplasm System (NPGS)--the system of genebanks responsible for conserving diverse plant genetic resources in the United States.
