Before coming to Falmouth, Jamaica, we read loads of reviews saying don’t leave the cruise port… It’s unsafe.
But we wanted to see for ourselves… so we did exactly that.
Falmouth, Jamaica, unexpectedly became our first cruise port on our Caribbean Princess 12-night cruise around the Caribbean and Central America.

The cruise port is very safe and touristy, but we went in search of the old buildings of historic Falmouth, Jamaica. Many have not fared very well since Jamaica was hit by Hurricane Melissa.
What was surprising was how friendly the locals were, and there was one or two local ‘Characters’
