Not every bump tells you what it is right away... and this cheek lump kept us guessing until the very end.
To get the best cosmetic result, I made a very small incision and used a "purse-string" suture to help remove the entire growth through a tiny opening. It's a technique that helps keep the incision as small as possible while still trying to remove the bump intact.
But what was it?
You'll have to stick around until the end to find out! After the bump is out, we cut it open to reveal the diagnosis—and it turns out this mystery mass was actually a lipoma, a benign growth made of fat cells.
