Solo Session in Red Dead Online - PS4 - 850 MTU SMSmith1990 2023-11-24 | How to get an empty session in Red Dead Online:On PS4 Home Screen - Settings - Network - Set Up Internet Connection - Use (whatever you use to connect) - Custom - Choose your network - Automatic - Do Not Specify - Automatic - Manual - MTU 1500 (Change value to 850) - Next - Do Not Use - Test Internet Connection - DONE!Playing in an empty session is very useful. The more players in a session, the less likely events and interactions are to spawn in.In GTA Online, I used to use an MTU of 750 to get an empty session so I could sell goods from my businesses without worrying about getting killed from griefers and having my goods destroyed. (You can now do everything in an Invite Only Session.)But Red Dead Online doesn't have Invite Only sessions and using an MTU of 800 or lower wouldn't let me online at all. Over 900 and there would still be other players in the session. It took many attempts but I finally found a reliable number. 875 also works just as well. I'd been looking at other ways to get an empty session, but they were all more complicated or less reliable.I don't know about PS5 or PC and I've heard it's not possible to change the MTU on X Box.Check out my many other videos and make sure to subscribe for more!

The Cayo Perico Heist Elite Challenge - Solo (5:27) - GTA Online SMSmith1990 2022-02-14 | New PB thanks to 2 paintings in the office!My previous best time of 6.29 - youtu.be/dAcFqcH2YjoI've done the heist many times (at least 30) and this was the first time I got 2 paintings in the office, so I had to take advantage and try for a quick elite time.I was hoping to beat the current console record of 4.50, but I missed out. This is the 2nd fastest time on console though (Stealth, solo, double secondary location).Leaderboard - gtaforums.com/topic/961295-the-elite-challenges-grand-leaderboard-v3I would have at least preferred to get under 5 minutes, but I had a lot of bad luck causing me to fail about 50 attempts before I completed it. The boat jump failed about 40 times. It would either hit the rock and not fly high enough to make it on top of the cliff. Or it would fly away to the right, over the cliff and back into the water! Or it would hit a wave before it hit the rock which caused it to lose all its speed. On the 10 attempts that I did successfully make it on top of the cliff, none of the guards outside the compound would have the gate keycodes, or if one of them did, none of the guards inside the compound would have the gate keys!It was getting so frustrating that I decided if I ever make the jump and a guard drops the keycodes and another drops the keys, I would just complete the heist regardless of how quick it goes, as long as I didn't lose a large amount of time by getting stuck or falling off the bike or something.I'm now hoping for 2 piles of cocaine in the south shed at the main dock. I could also be much faster if I got lucky with the secondary loot locations. 2 lots of cocaine at the Main Dock or 2 paintings in the office would be best. I've done the heist at least 20 times and that has never happened yet.I was hoping to at least beat my previous PB of 7.39. Better would be under 7.30 as it would be half the elite challenge target time. Then I was hoping to get under 7.00 and then under 6.30. So I beat 4 personal targets in 1 go! I could have saved a lot of time by ignoring the safe in the office and by riding the bike off the cliff and swimming away. But I knew the time wouldn't be anything special anyway, so I decided to do it the way Rockstar intended. As you can see, the elite challenge time limit of 15 minutes is incredibly easy to beat. They probably made it so easy so that you can use any approach and still be in with a chance of beating the time. The Cayo Perico Heist Elite Challenge - Solo (10:09) - GTA Online SMSmith1990 2021-07-19 | AlkonostCompleting the elite challenge in the Cayo Perico heist using the Alkonost approach.Hard difficulty!It was going well until I left the compound and missed a headshot on a guard which triggered the alarm. Got knocked off the bike twice which cost me a lot of time.I had made many previous attempts which had failed because of bad luck with the key codes and gate keys not being dropped. I couldn't be bothered to restart again so I just completed it and accepted the time. I would have preferred to get under 10 minutes.I had to go for the painting first, then the cash and weed. If I went for the cash and weed first, I couldn't fill the bag properly. All the weed and 5 handfuls of cash wasn't enough with the painting. But all the weed and 6 handfuls of cash was too much (I couldn't cut the painting as there wasn't enough room). Maybes if I grabbed the cash first then the weed it might have worked out? The Cayo Perico Heist Elite Challenge - Solo (7:39) - GTA Online SMSmith1990 2021-06-20 | Completing The Cayo Perico Heist with the Panther Statue as the primary target worth $1,900,000!I used the Longfin approach and entered the compound via the South entrance.Unfortunately I hadn't completed the heist with this character before the panther statue became available, so the difficulty was on normal. As a result, it was my personal best elite challenge time. Even if it was on hard, there is still a lot of time to be saved with a bit more luck for the secondary loot locations.
