JuicingGardener.com - Watermelon Mystery - Seasoned Gardeners Advice?

I've been growing watermelons in containers pretty successfully in containers up a fence. I just came out in mid-September and found this baby watermelon split completely wide open and I'm am not sure why!

I'm asking all you seasoned watermelon gardeners out there to share your wisdom and advice please!

Was it too much water?
Too little water?
Too little fertilizing?
Too little sun?
...
Something else!

All the other watermelons were fine and never cracked like this.

I would sure appreciate your wisdom!
