Sometimes it's better to finish the beginning after getting started! Here an eight stitch cast on in waste yarn is used to start a top-down Tancook Hat. Once the first few rounds are completed, the Australian Cousin stitches can be caught up on the yarn tail, the cast on can then be removed and the Cousin stitches gathered to a very neat start.
