Finale time, and yeah these last couple of levels are for sure the hardest the game has to offer.
Before I summarize my thoughts, I'll just reiterate that I basically know next to nothing about the Warhammer universe, so I'm going to judge it purely based on my personal experience playing through as a self proclaimed FPS enthusiast.
I think the game has a neat art style, spectacular visuals, really interesting movement, and lots of cool weapons/enemies. The gameplay can be a bit repetitive as your starting weapons (i.e. Boltgun, Plasma, and Heavy Bolter) are without a doubt some of the most effective weapons in the entire game. It also doesn’t help that weapon progression is kind of slow and some of the later game weapons are either just on par or weaker than your main arsenal.
Ammo balancing (especially with grenades) is really strange too. Ammo capacity is pretty low across the board yet there are pickups scattered everywhere and they each give a ton. Grenades I think might be the worst offenders here though as you’ll often find yourself either wanting to horde them or constantly throw them to make space for when you come across a bunch of them in one place. The low capacity here also leads to some frustrating situations where you accidentally throw your void grenade because you ran out and were automatically switched to them without realizing.
The game has tons of strange design choices and minor problems for sure, but regardless I still ended up having tons of fun with it! It’s a really unique blend of bullet-hell and FPS with a mix of old and new mechanics. Is it a masterpiece? No, but it is a really fun little indie shooter, and definitely worth your time if you manage to pick it up during a sale.
