In today's video I'm showing you how to make 2 high end looking Halloween decor pieces with Dollartree items. The first DIY is a sweet Halloween Countdown Calendar made from one Dollartree wooden blank and some paint. I did use my Cricut to create the stencil, but you could easily print out the words and trace them onto your sign and paint them that way, keeping this project very inexpensive. The second Halloween DIY is a cute standing decor piece, that could be displayed on a covered porch or in your home. I am collaborating with my friend Tammie and we are bringing you some awesome do it yourself thrift flips. I love taking something that someone didn't want and giving it new life. I do make most of my pieces with the intentions of re-selling them. Most recently I sold a picnic basket that I was gifted for free and refreshed, on Facebook Marketplace for $20. It sold the same day it was posted. I hope that some of my tips help you, if you are looking to flip thrifted items for resale.I thrifted all my items for under $5 each. All of these flips were quick and easily done, you do not require much skill. Most of my other supplies are from Dollartree or Dollarama. I do prefer chalk paint, as it has a nice matte finish and dries quickly. The Rustoleum Chalked paint can be found at Wal-Mart or home improvement stores. Cottage Core Nursery Decor DIY | Part One | Nursery Decor DIY | Thrift Flip Delighted to DIY 2021-07-22 | Hi Guys! Today's video is Part 1 of my Cottage Core Nursery Décor DIY series. For this cottagecore nursery decor sign I'll be using thrifted items that give me all the Cottagecore feels, using muted colours, floral prints, as well as actual garden lattice.The garden lattice I was given from a friend for free and it becomes the background of the framed sign. I thrifted a wooden baby gate for free of my local Buy Nothing site on Facebook, that I use to create the frame. And the middle piece of the sign is created from a coat hook rack that I found at a thrift store for only a dollar. I'd say this entire piece didn't cost me any more than a couple bucks, including all my other supplies.I hope you enjoyed this, you'll have to let me know what you think of the sign in the comments below. These are I items I got for free from a local Facebook Group or purchased for a low price at a local thrift store.I'll be taking these room decor pieces and putting a farmhouse spin on them. These DIYS are fairly easy and quick to do. The key to making a profit from flipped secondhand home decor items is buying low or scavenging for free items. Then flip them and make sure they are completed to give them a more professional look.
