Mutable Marbles experiment., eastern drone swedgling. Nuclear Whale 2022-10-02 | I wanted to do something different so decided to see if I could make a track purely sequenced and gated by marbles. This required a lot of mults in order to drive the several sounds and modules I was modulating,Nb, i confess I used 2 lfos in ochd on top but this was more so I could free up my hands to film, otherwise everything was sequenced, gates and influenced\modulated by mutable marbles.

This jam is inspired by the book 1984 and features a sample of Richard Burton in the film based on the novel.Gear used includes, Make noise Morphagene, qpas, xpan, Rene, and Mimeophon. Mutable instruments marbles, beads, tides, and elements. 4ms ensemble oscillator. Machine engineering Basimilus Iteritas Alter. Evening Modular Jam part 1 Nuclear Whale 2021-11-09 | Preparing for a gig @ Green Door store Brighton next month at the regular experimental all dayer, Splitting the Atom. I’ll be uploading some of my preparations for your enjoyment.The main sound sources at play today are the 4ms ensemble Oscillator being processed through mannequins sisters and mutable streams and the Mutable Elements playing with Rings and hp bell to create the chimes. Processing is through Xaoc Praga which is using the make noise Mimeophon through a send/return track and outboard the Strymon Big Sky is adding a touch of extra reverb.

The track is called Temple 23.Patch notes.Mutable instruments Marbles is in charge of sequencing and is sequencing the Ensemble, mutable tides v2 and the Mangrove.Tides and Mangrove are doing the pad and whalesong sounds.Mangrove is being processed via mutable rings.Maths, stages and Pam’s new Workout are on modulation duty.Make Noise Mimeophon and X-Pan are providing delay and Stereo width. Fnord breezes. Nuclear Whale 2020-07-23 | Ambient modular Jam with Erebus Dreadbox, Microbrute 2s and various mutable and make noise modules.Patch Notes.I started out by using the Microbrute sequencer to make the basic melody which i also fed into the Erebus which in turn is not only being recorded to its own channel via the Strymon El Capistan but also feeding back into the Microbute via the external channel. I modulated both the Microbrute and Erebus quite a bit so the character of both machines came out and contracted to sound quite different from each other.The microbrute is then clocking the modular and using the Mutable marbles 'recording function' i recorded the tune into marbles which then played notes in the same scale . these notes were used to play Mutable Tides and Mannequins Mangrove and were in turn processed through rings, clouds and Make noise Mimeophon and heavily modulated via Maths and Stages. Finally it was mixed into X-Pan and reverb added with Strymon Bib Sky.

Nuclear Whale 2020-03-15 | A modular journey using the famous ‘1950s housewife on acid’ sample processed through Microbrute is providing some of the arping and we've also got 2hp bell and basimilus Iteritas an elements throwing some percussive elements in. thhese machines are being 'played' by marbles which i fed note data into so they are all playing the correct scale.
