We Were to have gone all the way to Vancouver but a First Nation protest irrupted and prevented us from continuing on to the West Coast. After several days in the park we rented a car to finish the trip. VIA cheerfully refunded our fare from Jasper to Vancouver. Japan 2014 - Riding The Rails Daniel Hadley 2023-12-28 | We travel to Japan with a friend who once lived there. With his knowledge we had an excellent time with no language difficulties. We visited temples, shrines and castles along our route that took us from Tokyo west to the Sea of Japan and then south to Osaka. In Kyoto we visit many historic sights. It's then off to Hiroshima before heading back to Tokyo. All of our travel was by railroad and we rode on nearly every type of train. The rail system is absolutely amazing and well engineered. The number of commuter trains in Tokyo alone is mind altering. Anyone interested in riding trains will be utterly amazed at the variety we encountered.

Pacific Northwest 2022 Daniel Hadley 2022-12-30 | Come along on our RV journey to the Pacific NW and return. We departed Ohio in June and drove West stopping to visit friends and family along the way. At Olympia National we took part in an orchid conference and then flew home. In September we went back to Seattle to begin the trip home and stopped in Walla Walla, the Black Hills and again visited family before arriving back in Ohio.

We chose to travel but the options were limited. By passing a Covid test before flying we were able to travel to the USVI where research showed cases were not as common as at home. The decision was made and off we went for a wonderful two weeks. We made it back without incident and remained healthy.
