Legolas + Aragorn || How to save a life

Hey guys! So I've been wanting to edit with Aragorn for a while, and I also haven't done a Legolas edit either recently so I thought I'll combine the two. I love their friendship but gosh dang do they have very little interesting scenes together.

I did follow some kind of narrative throughout because I ended up having to make my own scenes anyway.

Aragorn and Legolas were really great friends (or a couple if you ship it) and somewhere along the years Legolas became king of Mirkwood and Aragorn gets in trouble with their laws. This results in Aragorn's imprisonment and once he's freed, the two continually fight, sometimes with intent to kill.

Aragorn is then killed by falling off a cliff, and Legolas wrestles with his regrets.

Something like that. Anyway, I hope you enjoy watching this as much as I enjoyed making it :)

Hey everyone! So, this took me so, so long to make it was ridiculous. I think in the end I just lost inspiration for the song and Narnia Prince Caspian didn't really offer up too many joyful scenes so I had trouble navigating that as well

But alas it's done and I think I am happy with the end result. This started off as a collab project with someone which quickly went dead, so some of the beginning parts are MUCH older than the newer parts towards the end, the text styles are a bit different but ah well.

Phew, finally managed to get this done. I actually started it a while back, hated what I had, scrapped it and then started again...so this is the final piece. I still don't think I do slow edits well, but I actually like how this one came out, and gah the relationships here just melt my heart

I heard JB's version of this song on the way home from work and immediately wanted to use it, but it was too ...energetic and I was worried about copyright so I searched for a good cover, and came across Brae Cruz' version, which is beautiful and haunting

I hope you enjoy this, I wanted to focus less on clip movement and more on the actual scenes themselves

Something a little different from me, a bit more on the slow, scene centric side. I've been wanting to edit a Sons of Durin video for AGES but I just couldn't find a good song to work with...until I came across this amazing cover of Welcome to the Black Parade by Halocene. I love the My Chemical Romance original too but it's much harder to edit with!

Ahhh there was a struggle with finding good clips of the three of them together, so I made a few scenes of my own, I know they don't pass as new scenes but hopefully they give you the feeling of unity between the three, I'm especially proud of the scene I made at 3:13

Ahhh which is your favourite of the three? I love Fili, I tried to make sure he got plenty of screen time too since he has so little in the movies.

Ahh it's finally done! I don't know why this particular edit took me so long but I'm so glad it's finished. Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE Aaragorn and for the longest time I've wanted to make a fitting tribute for him and well, here you go!

I started off hating this video but now I'm actually happy with it, there's a good mix of slow and fast paced editing here and I like how it came out in the end, even though I changed the colouring like 10 times.

Ahhh so for a while Jae and I were stumped with what song we could use for our next collab, and we stumbled upon this one. Upon first listen we were pumped and ready to do it...but while working on it...eh, we ended up finding the song much more challenging than we thought it would be.

Might be easy to see, but I gave up toward the end because none of my parts looked the way I wanted them to, I don't like my parts that much at all but asdfghjkl I absolutely LOVE Jae's! Their edits are always amazing and they are such a JOY to work with!

Ahhhh I finally got to edit with my precious smol bean! I absolutely adore Frodo, he's the sweetest, bravest little Hobbit imo. He gets a lot of flack and to be fair he is a bit of a damsel in the movies, but his heart is so pure and dem eyes...enough said.

But yes, this edit isn't particularly creative or even all that interesting but I'm happy with the outcome, I feel it's a fitting tribute to Frodo.

Ahhhh I never thought I would have this done, I wanted to give up on it so many times (and Jae Holics will confirm that haha) but here it is, it's done and I'm ded.

This really isn't my preferred style of editing, the text is yes, but the song is just not really my cup of tea. I've been meaning to make an Aragorn tribute but I also wanted Thorin in it because they're both my epic fighty bois and I love them.

I gave up on being creative with this about half way through, but hopefully you still enjoy it.

Let me know your favourite of the two and why. I love them both :D

Ahhh I love collabing with you so much Jae, and this collab is super cute! :D

We sincerely hope you enjoy this collab that me and JaeHolics put together, focusing on two key relationships within the franchise, Sam and Frodo, and our angsty bois Thorin and Bilbo. Jae loves Samfro, and I think Thorin and Bilbo have their super sweet moments, so we wanted to do a sort of couple collab/friendship collab.

I took on editing with Bilbo and Thorin, as you can see, I needed to make a few things up as I went along but meh, I'm fairly happy with the outcome.

This was actually a dead project that I started a month and a half ago, and I got about 12 seconds done and I HATED it. I recently went back to it but ughhhh this song/edit was a CHAAAAALLENGE like dang! Took me four days to make because I just couldn't get it to look right. I don't think I'm super happy with the final outcome but I worked hard on it and it would be a shame not to upload it just because of a few parts I failed on.

I do love this song though, hopefully you enjoy this video all the same :)

So, something a little different from me. I heard this song and immediately thought of these two, and I love their friendship I do, but there was definitely some tension there, am I wrong? Haha

Bit of a challenge to find decent scenes, so had to make some of my own in places (very badly I might add) but overall I'm really proud of this one, and happy with the way it came out. Yey.

LOTR/TH || Castle on the Hill

StridingArcher 2021-04-04 | Whooo, it's finally done haha. All thing's considered I guess it didn't take too long, I just decided to make it right before a super busy week, so took longer than it should have but oh well.

I enjoyed making this, but inspiration kind of left me towards the end, and I think I worked on it when I needed sleep, which is never a good idea.

I hope you enjoy this all the same though!

Ahh it's finally done, though this didn't take as long as some of my other projects. I recently bought all the Hobbits in blu-ray and got them ripped to my PC. I really wanted to edit with the footage as most of the shots are just gorgeous in film.

Then I had the idea to challenge myself, given the nature of the song, and use ONLY clips at night time, or in dark places (caves etc) the only time I would use clips set during the day would be when the lyrics said 'day, today or sun.'

I wish I hadn't as it really limited the clips I could use, but ah well. I'm happy with the outcome and I got to use some scenes that I probably would have never used from LOTR.

This was certainly a labour of love. I absolutely love these movies but editing with them isn't always so easy. Still, I'm fairly happy with how this came out, I don't know if my style actually fits live action editing but it's still somewhat visually appealing I hope :)

Let me know if you have any suggestions for future Lord of the Rings edits. I won't do all of them ofc but always happy to take requests if the song inspires me

Ahhh it's finally done, I don't know why it takes so long for me to edit things at the moment but work is pretty busy.

I like how this one came out. I didn't want it to feel one sided, with Sam being there for Frodo, I also wanted it to be about Frodo being there for Sam, they are the cutest boys.

Around January/February 2019, Jesus changed my life, and the transformation has been absolutely incredible! I live with a loving family, I have a job that I love, and Jesus has been there every step of the way.

Ahhh so I got into Stranger things, and I binge-watched the entire 2 series. My favourite thing is Hopper and El's relationship throughout season 2 and how cute they are!
