Score Mashup JoeSnyderwalk 2012-01-24 | I noticed that the tracks "The Sun's Gone Wibbly" from Murray Gold's score to the fifth series of Doctor Who and "First Class" from Henry Jackman's score to X-Men: First Class (also a fifth entry...coincidence?) have a similar rhythm and chord progression. Hence, I sped up the X-Men track a bit, changed the key to make it match and...mashup! I think it sounds pretty cool with the added choir. Enjoy!

My 10 Favorite Danny Elfman Main Titles JoeSnyderwalk 2010-07-23 | Danny Elfman is the best at writing memorable, iconic main titles - that is, the music that you hear over a movie's opening credits. Here are my 10 favorites. Not the "top 10" - they don't have to be YOUR favorites!Note that this isn't a countdown of my 10 favorite Elfscores. My two favorites are actually Numbers 4 and 6 on this list...which most Elfmaniacs will agree are his masterpieces!Some other great Elfman main titles include those for The Nightmare Before Christmas, Sommersby, Black Beauty, Sleepy Hollow, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Wanted and The Wolfman, but they didn't quite make the cut for me...Of these ten themes, only three were composed for non-Tim Burton movies, and the top six were. Best director-composer relationship behind Steven Spielberg and John Williams, in my opinion.
