This means that the speed of scrolling in MIDITrail is based on the BPM of the MIDI. When the BPM speeds up, the speed of MIDITrail as a whole increases, and when it slows down, the speed of MIDITrail as a whole decreases. You can see some creators like Han SeRin take advantage of this by adding strategic BPM changes for theatric effect. This is in contrast to a scroll player like Piano from Above or Synthesia where the scroll speed is completely constant and the note's size is scaled relative to the BPM. What Minelolpride discovered in these "variable speed scrolling" tick-based MIDI players is that one could abuse the scrolling mechanics by making the BPM really fast for a short period of time, causing the MIDI to essentially "skip ahead". In standard scroll players, the notes become extremely dense and clustered, but in tick-based players like the one shown in this video, the entire score moves forward. Using these principles, it is possible to achieve stop motion in tick-based MIDI players under the right circumstances. PondOfFly was a black MIDI community member from long ago who made very long no-lag video projects. His MIDIs were pretty unique in their own respect. This is basically a really detailed version of those "song to MIDI" videos you see online. This time I converted the colours to match those of an RGB spectrogram. Though, I pose a question to you guys. Would you rather have this colour scheme, or would you rather have a red-orange-yellow scheme? Despacito but converted to a [Black MIDI] with 4.1 million notes Gingeas 2018-05-26 | Using W2M, you can actually hear the lyrics of the Despacito music video (by Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee, not the Justin Bieber one)I am using a program made by ζ’¦εΉ»noδΊΊη, a member of the Chinese black MIDI community.Don't watch if you are prone to seizures . . . please.The program was written in Python and uses fast-fourier transform (FFT) in order to convert the original song into notes. It is similar to the MP3-to-MIDI conversion stuff you'd find online, but this one is much more detailed and sounds much more realistic in my opinion. The program is not public and as such I must respect the original developer's wishes by not distributing it. If you wish to download the program, ask other people who are involved in the distribution of the program (like Ryan 0201 or ooo 000) and they might give you the Discord server link to download it.
