Exploring the Minecraft RTX Beta Big Bad Beaver 2020-04-16 | I've created a Discord server! Check it out and connect with me at: discord.gg/013UkhpBFhqRB46JKThe Minecraft Windows 10 RTX Beta came out today. In this video, I explored a bit of the demo world provided for free. I was actually extremely impressed by the raytraced graphics. The lighting and reflections looked incredible, and in a way it was kind of like playing Minecraft for the first time. There are many other worlds you can download as well in the demo, but this was the primary one I wanted to showcase. Since it's in beta, I did notice a few issues. Your body doesn't have a shadow unless you are in third person mode. Your hand and items can go through blocks, and loading levels can take a long time. I recorded this on a RTX 2070, and while the frame rate wasn't flawless, it never got unplayable. There's a mixture of benchmarks and actual real-world gameplay used to compare the graphics settings. In my opinion, this game looks really great on the highest settings possible, and like a PS2 game on the lowest settings possible. Certain assets still hold up but texture quality and shadows can be taken down extremely far. I think it's nice Rockstar still cares for low end systems, you can clearly see they did everything possible to make this playable on garbage systems, like the one found in my Low End PC test here at youtube.com/watch?v=EQebtYDbcLEFor the Highest Graphics, I put everything on Ultra, including the settings under Advanced Settings. I used an Acer Aspire E5-575G with the following specs for testing:CPU: Intel i5-7200U @ 2.5 GHzGPU: NVIDIA GTX 950M (2GB GDDR5 VRAM) + Intel HD 620RAM: 16 GB DDR4 RAM @ 2933MHzHDD: 2TB 7200RPM DriveWindows 10 Home EditionLatest Drivers + Shaders Installed FullyFrom the testing, you can see COD MW runs decently with the lowest settings on the GTX 950M, but the Intel HD 620 is completely unplayable. I was actually warned by MW before launching the game with the 620 that it does not meet the minimum requirements to play. It was a stuttery mess and I couldn't even pick a class to jump in. It's possible once COD: MW leaves beta that performance will improve, but these numbers will still be fairly accurate to what you can expect on launch day. Patches will fix bugs.Overall I enjoyed Call of Duty Modern Warfare a lot. CS:GO on the PS3... Big Bad Beaver 2017-08-05 | One dark and stormy night, I decided out of the blue to purchase CS:GO onto my PS3, for no other reason than for pure curiosity. What I witnessed was pure horror and something no man- no gamer- should face in their life. Counter Strike on the PS3 is buggy, awkward to control, and worst of all: not fun. The console ports of this game were abandoned shortly after their release, but we still managed to try some online matches and test how CS:GO runs on a PS3.Fun fact: I honestly have no idea why the game audio is so distorted. Recorded more after the live stream and there were no issues with the sound, so maybe just a bug? Either way it's not too bad and in my opinion it ADDS TO THE IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE THAT IS PS3 CS:GO!!!!I wasted $14.99 so you don't have to. As part of that, in this video, I'll be testing to see how well Mojang and Microsoft have optimized their java build of Minecraft, running a performance test on a low end PC. While Minecraft mods like Optifine help to improve performance, especially on weaker systems, it's important to see how vanilla Minecraft is handled on a low spec computer. Watch along and find out how well it runs. My scoring rubric is as follows:0/5 or 1/5: The game is unplayable, and will not work. In this video, I'll be going over a possible fix you can try to resolve the invisible or low quality texture glitch.
