She tries telling off Hawkstar, so the dark forest tom tells Nippaw to kill her. He attacks her, but it is all an act. They both knew his father needed to be stopped once and for all. When Stoutpaw pinned Nippaw down near the tom, Nippaw used all his strength to fling Stoutpaw at him. Hawkstar was very unprepared and was killed. Nippaw is sad that he had lost his father for the second time, but Stoutpaw will always be there for him.
