Portable Art Tablet W/Screen - Simbans Picasso Tab Review LemiaCrescent 2019-06-14 | Today we're taking a look at the Picasso Tab, an Android tablet made by a company called Simbans. The first 23 or so minutes are the review of the tablet itself, the rest of the video is about how the product was shipped (my incident) and their return policies. I talk a bit about who I think would benefit the most by having this item, some things I've noticed, things I like, and things I'm not crazy about... I think I forgot to mention, or I wasn't clear, that my first tablet arrived damaged, which is why I had a second one sent to me. There was a row of dead pixels. The second tablet was shipped in a similar fashion, but was not damaged. So I kept this second tablet for over a month and tested it to make sure it ran properly. I've had no issues with it, it works just fine. Still, a shame! But there are return policies and warranties that I do cover in this video. I also want to be clear that Amazon is responsible for the shipping of this product, not Simbans. So...THANKS AMAZON. :(Also unrelated but...anyone know wtf is going on with that table at the end? I can't figure out the proportions for the life of me! Why would anyone make a table with those dimensions? And ...I used Youtube's blur face ....editing thing... ONLY on Kara's face... Van Gogh Watercolor Review - Wooden Box Set LemiaCrescent 2018-07-06 | Today we're going to review Van Gogh Watercolors by Royal Talens. I broke down the art supply review video into sections so you can more easily pick and choose what you want to hear about. Also, both pictures at the end are made with Van Gogh brand watercolors.$70 isn't cheap. Considering there is one Van Gogh set with 18 half pans and 2 tubes...and that runs in the high 30 dollar range. And that set includes a brush, sponge and palette. So I was expecting something more from the wooden palette itself, you know, to make it worthwhile and spending $30 extra... I wish it was worth it, it's just not.Also, something to note is that I didn't snap the pans in correctly to the box. So if you tighten BEFORE putting the pans it they should be held much tighter. I actually never had to do that with any of the other pans/palettes I own so...hey, the more you know. It makes such a satisfactory clicking noise when you do it. XDD But still, the palette feels terribly cheap, I'd recommend getting the metal tin instead, which is the same price but is seemingly much better made. What makes an Artist? VS Real Artist? LemiaCrescent 2018-03-27 | Today we talk a bit about what an artist is or what an artist can be. First is the standard definition, then the more abstract definition of what I normally see being called, the "Real Artist."And yeah, a lot of stammering and all that. I wrote a script at first, and then chucked it when I got to the "real artist" section. I guess I just don't have the patience that I once had to do videos like this... Sad I softened some of the harsh shadows at the end...husband said she looked like she had a 5 o'clock shadow going. T_T I shoulda just brought some of the deeper color upward but didn't think about it till after the deed was done. :( So much regret. Though, I do still love her. Update: I added some more darker shadows back into the picture. Still more subdued in areas but I got some of the deeper shadows back. You Do Not Have to Improve at Art LemiaCrescent 2018-03-09 | Today we're going to talk about the importance of following your own path when it comes to art. Not everyone is a professional or even wants to be. Some people draw every blue moon, somewhat frequently, in their spare time, as a part time job.. etc. Art has so many uses and methods, one way isn't any more or less valid than another. If you take anything away from this video, never feel like you're any less of an artist or a person for doing art your own way and enjoying art at your own pace.So tired of all the "learn the rules before you break them." If you want to do things in a regimented way, go ahead.. But if some kid draws a rabbit in his spare time and that brings him enjoyment.... don't force him to draw tons of naked people and still life displays before he's "allowed" to draw a rabbit. If you're trying to control someone's creativity too much, you can stifle it altogether. I just don't understand the bossiness and controlling nature of others when it comes to art. If something isn't your cup of tea, that's fine. But that doesn't mean it isn't somebody else's.If you want to improve and be the best. Go ahead. If someone else is happy at the pace they're going, all the power to them. Pretty much the frame is the only object you may need to buyIf you aren't capable of drawing the characters, you can always print them out using your printer. If you want a more "artsy painting" vibe, simply paint on top of the print out. Just make sure the paper you print on is somewhat sturdy and do a "paint by numbers" project. MAN! The Youtube Google Hangout thing was actually pretty helpful for people who don't already know a lot about analytics. If you have a channel and they offer the program to you, I'd definitely take them up on it. You might learn some really helpful tips.I'm not sure if they still offer this program? They completely blew me off. YT told the officer they'd "review" it. (NEW) Youtube -6 months later- responded to officer and told him they're not removing his account.POLICE: Working with 3 officers now. One is the original officer on the case and has been with it from the start. He put in 2 take down requests to remove his channel from YT. CONCLUSION:We wait. When he exits prison he gets to register as a sex offender. If the channel begins uploading again, he may be in violation of orders and the law may do something about it. Let me also phrase this another way, what if I sent everyone to his page? And Youtube then promotes his content to other children who haven't seen this video? Digital Art is NOT Real Art LemiaCrescent 2017-11-24 | ********IMPORTANT UPDATE ON THE TABLET! ***********It's now July 2018, this review was made in November, 2017. The plastic surrounding the screen has begun to crack. There are these little crack lines going completely through the plastic. In one corner, there is a little chunk missing, completely. I have used this tablet VERY GENTLY, as I am a traditional artist. I don't use it much, but I love the thing. So I am SUPER bummed out that this is happening. I'd never pretend that a product is something it's not, so I feel like I needed to update you guys in case you're interested in buying one for yourself.This topic was so common back in the day. I'm glad it really died down as a topic of discussion and digital art is much more widely accepted nowadays. As for the tablet I'm using today, it's a good one. Long story short, my issue is sometimes the pen/tablet pressure sensitivity is off and it thinks I'm pressing much harder than I really am. This was mostly cleared up upon restarting my computer (keep in mind this was after 2 installations and restarts already). But after that fateful restart, it seems to be extremely *infrequent* now which is great. Don't know why, but hey, I'll take it. I was going to ask them, hey! What is the recommended method for resetting pen pressure sensitivity blah blah! But people can't get back to me apparently.
