None that I've seen mentions the different variations of lasers.The fat Ps2 has 4 different types of lasers. If your new laser is different than the original laser then it most likely won't work as the Ps2's eeprom is programmed to work with a specific laser.With this homebrew program we can change between different laser variations without issue!If you have a modchip installed you will need to disable it before running the program as it isn't compatible with modchips.
