What Rae Reads Since summer is over and we're moving into Autumn/Fall aka Gilmore Girls szn -- i thought i'd do a reading wrap up of all the books i read this summer (June, July & August) and tell you the one's i loved and one's i didn't really enjoy

I read a decent amount of books this summer, mostly literary fiction, a few non fiction and a few audiobooks - but i will say that i read a couple that will 100% be in my top 10 reads of the year for 2024!

There is something about autumn that makes me excited to spend time outside (although I love being in doors too lol) -- this week I spent time with friends and family, plus I was invited to The Booker Prize Shortlist in London (pinch me!) & met up with @SavidgeReads

I had a lovely little trip and a browse around Notting Hill, found some book shops & of course went to a little bakery for a sweet treat 🥐☕️

january has felt like the longest month EVER! It really it took me a while to get into any sort of routine again, and tbh, I'm still trying (lol) --so spend some time with me in the city as i run errands, take myself on my weekly solo trips to the cinema, coffee dates, museum dates and of course, home workouts...

I know it's easy to look at these vlogs and peoples lives online and think "everything is wonderful" --but i just want to remind everyone that these vlogs are highlights of my days, weeks, months...I have good and bad days like everyone else, and there is a lot of 'real stuff' i don't include in these vlogs. this week i thought i'd spend the day in manchester as i wanted to try out a new reformer pilates class (i'm in my pilates princess era lol) so i thought, why not make a day out of it and spend some quality time with me myself and i!

I enjoyed strolling around the city, visiting my favourite bakery and coffee shops, taking myself for some lunch and obviously hitting up some book shops while i was there. autumn diaries | realistic days in my life, book shopping, comfort meals & trying new things

What Rae Reads 2024-10-30 | spend some cosy autumn/ fall days with me in liverpool 🍂

this week i truly felt the change of seasons (and i'm loving it?) -- i was craving everything comforting and cosy, so I made my own pumpkin spiced syrup, cooked some soups and stews, hid from the rain & drank lots of coffee obviously...

but i also stepped out of my comfort zone this week and tried reformer pilates for the first time (rip my muscles), hung out with friends & did some book shopping in the gorgeous autumn sunshine.

the procrastination was real this week & it made me realise i really need to find a better balance and routine over the coming months!

I took a short but sweet trip to London a few weeks back with my brother and sister & had a lovely time exploring the city, browsing book shops, finding cute coffee shops, eating delicious food & generally just living my city girl fantasy.

I wasn’t able to visit as many bookshops as i’d have liked to, but I still managed to visit some beautiful book stores (list included below)!-- Maybe i’ll do a bookish trip down to London at some point specifically to do a bookshop crawl???

I thought i'd bring you with me for another solo day in the Liverpool, walking around, grabbing coffee, reading, shopping & trying to escape the wind lol

If you're not new to the channel you know that i love spending time alone and making a priority of taking myself 'out' on solo dates, not only is it good for my mental health to get out the house, but I think it's so important that we learn to be alone 💗 (especially us introverts...or maybe we enjoy being alone a bit too much 🤣)
