I spent two nights at the Isle of Man and rode the famous steam railway. I unfortunately didn't go the whole route (Port Erin to Douglas) as I was staying by the airport and was still recovering from illness. While I wasn't able to see much as I didn't have a car, I did see the station where the little sparkle guy lives. Horaces Strange New Friend Thomas1Edward2Henry3 2024-09-17 | THIS IS FOR PARODY PURPOSES AND NOT FOR CHILDREN! IT'S FINALLY FINISHED! By god this took way too long! I made the mistake of having too many locations in this episode which was bad for my ADHD. Not just that but getting the scratch built stuff (like the coaches) to stay together at least until the camera stopped filming. Some of the mishaps in the story are actually from filming and were not planned, like Gerald breaking the coupling to the coaches in the first journey. I have plans to do more but I'll be taking a break t focus on other stuff.

Took a day trip to the Chicago Botanic Gardens which has a massive G scale outdoor model railroad. The journey was a bout 50 minutes & cost about $6 one way (or $10 for a day pass). Metra isn't perfect but it does get you around most of the Chicago area and is WAY safer than the CTA subway lines.
