Oil Jet Bolt Replacement | Honda S2000 DIYGuys 2022-04-03 | Hey everyone! Today I’m going to show you how to replace the oil jet bolts on the Honda S2000. The oil jet bolts allow oil to pass from the engine block to the oil jets, which are responsible for squirting cool oil onto the underside of the pistons. The main reason people replace the oil jet bolts is because they were improved after the 2002 model year. The revised oil jet bolts included four holes instead of two, which allowed more oil to flow through the oil jets. The second reason people replace the oil jet bolts is because they can actually break. There is a spring inside the oil jet bolt that ensures that oil pressure must exceed 28 psi before the oil jet bolt allows oil to pass through. When this spring breaks the oil jet bolt allows oil to pass through at all times and this can lead to low idle oil pressure. I’m replacing my oil jet bolts for the latter reason. They can be particularly helpful in certain racing classes since they typically do not incur any additional points. Note: I did not install the set screws from the Baero kit. They are not even included in the Origin Fabrication kit. I competed in Enthusiast class and I think I did well based on how the car is set up. The Honda S2000 Club Racer didn't skip a beat! The only thing I did to the car the entire weekend was adjust the tire pressures! If you're interested in attending Global Time Attack I highly recommend it. The whole even was well run.I may come back next year with some real modifications on my car in an attempt to be competitive. Knock Sensor Replacement | Honda S2000 DIYGuys 2020-04-26 | Hey everyone. Today I’m going to show you how to replace the knock sensor on a Honda S2000. The knock sensor is something that is commonly broken on accident when replacing the clutch or replacing the starter. Over time the plastic part of the sensor becomes exceptionally brittle and will break apart from the metal part of the sensor when it comes in contact with just about anything. In fact, I originally tried to film this video with a fully functional knock sensor and I ended up breaking it during the filming process.Note: I am using a wrench with a pipe instead of a breaker bar because the wrench is more versatile and can fit onto the universal joint at many different angles instead of 90 degree angles.
