Home made pizza in a hour using your bread machine Alison Doolittle 2024-02-25 | This is the pizza that keeps my kids and friends coming back for more. With the help of the bread machine, this pizza takes about an hour from start to finish. The original dough recipe comes from: sugarspunrun.com/the-best-pizza-dough-recipe/. Go and check them out! The recipe listed below will make 2 larger pizzas or 3 smaller pizzas.DOUGH:500 g flour2 packets yeast (11 g per packet)3 tsp sugar1.5 tsp salt0.5 - 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)0.5 - 1 tsp oregano or basil (optional)4 TBSP olive oil350 ml warm water (42 C)TOPPINGS:2 large red onions chopped200 g bacon bits800 g chicken in marinade of your choice2 long sweet peppers2 fresh jalapeno's300 g blue cheese crumbledStore bought pizza sauceMETHOD:Start with the dough. Add the warm water (42 C or whatever your yeast demands) to your bread machine pan and then add all the dry ingredients. Use the dough cycle. Once the dough comes together, add the olive oil. The dough shouldn't be terribly sticky and should pull away from the sides of the pan cleanly. If the dough is too sticky, just add a tablespoon of flour at a time. Let the dough rise in the bread machine and start on the toppings.Saute the onions in olive oil until translucent. Put them to the side and cook your bacon. Cook the bacon until its about half cooked. The oven will cook it the rest of the way. Put the bacon to the side and cook your chicken until it's done. Chicken should be thoroughly cooked. Now chop the peppers and jalapeno's. Once the dough is roughly doubled in size (roughly 30 minutes) turn it out on a floured surface and separate into 3 similar size pieces. Roll them out and place on baking sheets with parchment paper. Now is an excellent time to preheat your oven to 220 C. Start with the pizza sauce and then layer up your toppings with the blue cheese on the very top.Bake the pizza at 220 C for 15 minutes or until the crust has turned a beautiful golden brown. Enjoy!
