sodakc 2023 Unreleased Tracks & 2024 Goals sodakc 2023-12-27 | Happy.... early New Year?I've been gone for a solid two months, but here's a late Christmas present I guess?Anyway, I've been cooking up some [ B I G ] projects (one releasing around the 9th of January 2024) and also experimenting more with some new plugins and whatnot. I'm not dead. Yet.2024 is looking like a nice revival year of sorts for my stuff. In 2022 alone I released 42 original tracks. They weren't very high in quality. In 2023, this year, I released (including the Soda's Dungeon EP) 24 tracks, being mostly a mix of quality--generally higher than those from 2022 however. So, I'm aiming for 2024 to be my best year so far in music-making. I'm working on improving my nonexistent mixing/mastering skills, and hopefully will be able to release at least one or two albums (a remake album of some of my better previous tracks and a original album) and a couple HIGH QUALITY original singles.More stuff:- Aiming to set up distribution on Bandcamp or Spotify at some point. Don't know if it'll be this year, but it's definitely in the back of my head.- Discontinuing SoundCloud distribution. It's been fun, sort of, but it takes too much time and generally I'm not a fan of the platform's spam bots and low viewership. If I set up a deal with a distributor (DistroKid or TuneCore likely) then it will return. It'll serve as an archive of my early pre-YT-channel 2022 tracks and all of my 2023 tracks.- Working on my art skills. If you noticed, I made a lil pixel art animation thing for a "channel intro". One of my goals for 2024 is to have original art for all of my releases (think similar to the Iced Over remaster and Elevator Trip)- (Potentially) Long-form content creation. I'd love to make some longer videos, although I'm not quite sure what they would cover. Might do video essays, tutorials (although I'm probably not skilled enough to teach people stuff), or track breakdowns. - Streaming. Might start streaming. Yeah. It'd be a Twitch thing, likely.
