(I use approximately 1/4 cup for 1.5 lbs. of pork.)Add milk until desired consistency. Season.BISCUITS:1 cup flour1/4 teaspoon salt2 teaspoons baking powder1/2 teaspoon baking soda1/3 cup butter, cold3/4 cup milk3/4 cup grated cheese1/2 teaspoon garlic powderPreheat oven to 350 degrees. Whisk together flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Cut the butter into the flour using a pastry cutter, fork, or even by hand until the mixture resembles wet sand. Stir in the grated cheese and garlic powder. Slowly add as much milk as needed to form a soft dough. Drop onto cookie sheet. (I use a cookie scoop) Bake for 10-12 minutes.CHEESEBURGER SOUP:This is a single batch recipe. For the soup that I canned in the video, I multiplied it times 10.1 lb. ground beef1/2 cup onion, chopped3/4 cup carrots, shredded3/4 cup celery, diced3 cups potatoes, peeled, diced1 teaspoon basil1 teaspoon parsley flakes4 tablespoons butter3 cups chicken broth1/4 cup floursalt and pepper1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese1 1/2 cups milk1/4 cup sour cream (optional)Brown beef and set aside. Saute onions, carrots, celery, potatoes, basil, and parsley in butter until tender. Add broth and beef and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and add flour mixed with milk. Heat until just before boiling and add cheese, salt, and pepper. Cook and stir until the cheese is melted. Remove from heat and blend in sour cream before serving.BEEF CHUNKS AND NOODLESCook beef cubes in water for 45 minutes to an hour. (or until cooked through)For 1 lb. of beef cubes, I used approximately a quart of water.Once cooked through, add noodles. If the noodles are fine or thin, you can turn your heat off and they will soften in the broth. After they are cool, roll them again in powdered sugar.Dressing:Cut up 1/2 to 3/4 loaf of bread into squares. Toast in a saucepan with 1/4 cup butter.Mix together:4 eggs1 cup carrots, diced1 cup celery, diced2 cups milk1 tablespoon parsleysalt and pepperAdd toasted bread and mix thoroughly. Cut in shortening until the dry misture is moistened evenly. Slowly add milk into the dough until it holds together.Seperate dough into 6 balls.Peel and core 3 large to medium size apples. Roll out the dough until the circles are large enought o wrap around an apple half. Put a pinch of sugar and cinnamon into the core of the apple and wrap the dough around the apple. Tuck the ends underneath.Spray a cake pan and put the dumplings in. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.SAUCE:HEAT TO BOILING:1 cup water1/4 cup butter3/4 cup sugar (I use coconut palm)1 teaspoon cinnamonMix 2 tablespoons permaflo (or a thickening agent of your choice) into 1 cup water. Slowly add this into the boiling mixture until thickened.Spoon some sauce over a warm dumpling and serve with icecream.ENJOY! 😉APPLEBUTTER:10 small to medium apples1/2 cup water ( or apple cider)1 tablespoon lemon juice1 cup brown sugar2 teaspoons cinnamon1/4 teaspoon cloves1/4 teaspoon saltPeel and core apples. Slice into wedges and put into kettle, along with all the ingredients. Cover and cook (light simmer) over medium low heat, stirring occasionally, until apples become very soft. Approximately 1-2 hours.Put mixture in blender and blend for a few seconds to the consistency of your choice. Spoon into jars. This can be refrigerated for up to 4 weeks.You can also freeze.
