1999-2000 Jungle Print Run Gem Mint Pokemon 2023-04-01 | Stoked to crack a 1999-2000 Jungle Booster Box tonight. The cards came out visibly lighter with a smoother texture. Some cards, like Oddish, appear sharper in the card image. My understanding of the product was the texture may vary, but there shouldn't be any other differences with the cards. Put these side by side any USA Unlimited print Jungle, and I can tell you the European release right away. Such a cool experience to open Jungle again for what felt like the first time.Other known differences: Box and packs have 1999-2000 copyright dates, but cards do not. Box and packs have the later WOTC curved logos. Pokemon is in yellow text on packs and Box.I'll spend some time with the cards looking for more differences. Any text or distinct image differences would be huge. So far, it's color, texture, and maybe clarity differences. Orlando Collect a Con: Error Cards Gem Mint Pokemon 2023-03-07 | I love attending in-person events for the cool and unique cards you can only find by searching yourself. It's like going on a treasure hunt. Where is the shiny object in the rough and who will have it? You never know what you'll find and where they come from. Conspiracy Theories Gem Mint Pokemon 2023-02-17 | Ever have a tough grader? This is one of those subs. Please keep in mind that I don't look at the grades. This is a raw reaction to seeing them for the first time. A lot of time and effort went into acquiring the cards in this sub. In my opinion it could have been one of the best returns put together. Sadly, it was not. After looking at the cards more closely, I can understand why some cards did not get a higher grade. Although, I still believe this was a tough grader all around. It'd be nice if grading was easy and every submission was a home run, but we don't always get flowers on Valentine's Day. Has this happened to you? Do you agree with my reaction in the video? Pokemon Signing Event Tips and Tricks - Midori Harada Gem Mint Pokemon 2023-02-01 | There's two big signing events coming up:- February 3-5 in Orlando, FL (Ms. Midori Harada)- February 9-10 in Times Square, New York City, NY (Ms. Midori Harada)Planning and optimizing your time with the artist can go a long way to give yourself the best outcome. These events are generally very busy and high energy. Some people are there for a special moment with the artist and a memory to take with them. Some are there to pay the bills and cover their trip costs. Stay safe, plan early and enjoy any time your able to spend with the artist performing their craft.These are some tips and tricks that have helped me when attending an in person signing event. 1. Arrive early for the event. You may only get through the line once. The SMS queue carries over between days. There may be 500 people in front of your (for Orlando)2. Have a plan. Orlando is going to allow 5 cards to be signed. How are you going to spend the first 5-20 seconds with Harada? Consider creating a sheet to show what cards to sign and how to write your name. Include a thank you note in Japanese to express your gratitude toward Ms. Harada.3. Once the cards are signed - DON'T SLEEVE THEM RIGHT AWAY. It can take time for them to dry. Have a plan for how to transport 5 cards away from the table and let them sit for 10 minutes. I prefer setting them on a soft binder when finished.4. Be safe and bring something to keep you occupied Friday morning. Yes there will be an SMS queue where you don't need to wait in line all day, but you may spend a few hours prior to the event opening. Remember you'll be in a public space with prized cards on you, so stay aware of your surroundings if any suspicious activity occurs.5. It's about the EXPERIENCE! You're able to meet the artist and spend time with them. Embrace the moment, enjoy it. You'll never forget it. It's hard to explain to build up. The moment with every artist I've met has been special and some of the most unique ways to appreciate the hobby.6. There's no pressure to grade the card right away. You just spent a ton of money traveling to an event. It's okay to keep it in your binder or wait a few months to grade (when prices go down). The card has far more meaning than the grade. Plus we already know it's authentic - you were there! The best argument is to encapsulate for protection. Keep in mind, many Japanese artists do not want to see their cards resold. They consider it to be a special gift to the person as something to treasure and appreciate. This is why the Pokemon Company is requiring "To: Your Name." I'd love for Harada to sign 10 times a year and create thousands of signed cards for everyone. Worst case scenario is the Pokemon Company becomes more strict and stops all signings. So please be respectful and remember the artist's reputation is at risk in the eyes of the Pokemon Company and Japanese culture. I'm not an expert here, however this is my understanding of the recent restrictions placed on artists.There's many more tips to consider and feel free to add your own to the comments. YuGiOh Booster Box Collection (2014) Gem Mint Pokemon 2023-01-18 | This is my YuGiOh booster box collection from 2014. I was aiming to get 4 boxes of each set. The right buyer came along and bought them for around $2,200. What a crazy price considering where the hobby is today. For the throwback videos, the recorded date will be at the end of the title. Sweet Pokemon PSA Returns! Gem Mint Pokemon 2023-01-03 | This video is a recent Japanese PSA Returns. There are a few sweet hits and some collections additions. All of the extras will be listed via the eBay link below:I'm going to take some time over the next week combing through a backlog of videos. My goal is to give you all 2-3 videos per week. If the video is more than a year old, I'll include the date it was recorded in the title. Hopefully this increase engagement through YouTube without too long of gaps between uploads. English VS - The Rarest English Pokemon Set Gem Mint Pokemon 2022-12-03 | The English VS Set is the rarest and most difficult set to collect from the early Pokemon era. It's a recognized and legitimate release from the Pokemon company. Of the 50 players invited to the Tropical Mega Battle in the year 2000 and 2001, 8 English players were given English releases of the deck. All players played with the same deck in their spoken language. Therefore, 16 sets of these player decks exist, making it one of the most collectible and rarest items printed. This has been a goal for many years. Friends were also chasing this set and it seemed we'd end up competing against each other once they became available. Oddly enough, three of us all found this collection grail through private deals and none of us ended up competing on the open market. We all still paid above the last public auction price. The hardest part about collecting this set is finding someone willing to sell. Even if the funds are available, finding a seller is a challenge. Of the sets known and acquired by collectors, nearly half are in the hands of long-term collections. There are more sets out there, however they've either been broken up or have not yet surfaced. The English VS Set is surely the rarest and most difficult English set to collect. We Did It! Gem Mint Pokemon 2022-11-07 | We Did it! The final Wizards of the Coast Pokemon Set Holo arrives in PSA 10. For the last 15 months we've been one card short. Today, the goal is complete. Ampharos became POP 2.This would not have been possible without the grace of the community. So many cards could have gone to different homes. I truly appreciate every last person that has been a part of this goal. It's taken 10 years to achieve and countless friends created along the way.Please listen to the message in the video.
