Skateboarding Progression Video #5 Skateboard Bruh 2020-09-04 | I decided to challenge myself and learn 7 new skateboard tricks in 7 days. I failed.On May 16th, I decided to not work on my consistency for an entire week, it was time for me to learn some new movements on my skateboard and to make sure I became dedicated to learning new tricks I decided to challenge myself. I came up with this challenge that I call learn 7 new tricks in 7 days. I failed though, I did not learn 7 new skateboarding tricks in 7 days, I only learned 5. Surely, 7 new tricks would’ve been the ultimate result but the true purpose of this challenge was to dedicate a certain amount of time to learning new skateboarding tricks every single day. In this sense, I did complete the challenge because for the upcoming 7 days I dedicated 1 to 3 hours every single day to learning new skateboarding tricks. If I would’ve been too focused on strictly learning exactly 7 tricks in 7 days that would’ve possible even demotivated me because I didn’t learn a new trick on the second day and if I decided that I’d failed the challenge there, I would’ve never practiced tricks on the other 5 days. The takeaway here is that you shouldn’t only focus on the end result (those 7 tricks) but focus on the process which was dedicating 7 days to learning new skate-tricks.

Tried to analyze all of the skateparks in Amsterdam and the skatepark at the Jekerstraat came out as the winner of the poorest quality skatepark in my city. A lot of you have shitty skateparks. Skateparks that look like they are not made for skateboarding. They look like they’ve been designed by a person that surely doesn’t skate and probably also didn’t want to make a skatepark. That seems essential. It is unthinkable that not a single person questioned the construction of some of your skateparks. Nonetheless, you aren’t alone. Incredible poor quality skateparks is a worldwide phenomenon and every city has a couple of these gems. After analyzing a couple of these gems, I found that they all share some common features.
