How To Install the Powershift Boost Hub on your Mountain Bike Classified Cycling 2023-04-12 | The Powershift Boost Hub system couldn’t be easier to install on your MTB, it can be done in less than 2 minutes.Precision engineered to fit seamlessly into your existing set up, the Boost Hub is a plug and play option that only needs a couple of tools and a couple of minutes. The position of the revolutionary Ringshifter can be customised to your needs; it works perfectly on the left or right - wherever suits you best to Powershift instantly.Once you’ve mounted the products, pairing is very straight forward - just a couple of flicks of the Ringshifter. The LEDs will tell you when you’re paired, and then you can hit the trail. The LEDs will also tell you when your battery is low - amber means less than 20% charge. Charging also couldn’t be easier with the cables provided.Step by step:1. Firstly, take the Powershift Hub out of the box, remove the lock ring and insert the hub into the hubshell2. Attach the hub lock ring on the non drive side and tighten to 40nm with a cassette tool3. Remove the cassette and take out the spacer. Fix this onto the Powershift Hub before applying the cassette. Ensure the cassette sits neatly in the grooves of the hub. Tighten the cassette lockring to 40nm4. Remove your handlebar grip and Slide the Ringshifter into place. Secure the Ringshifter in the position of your choice with a 2mm allen key5. To pair the device, push the Ringshifter up and hold for 5 seconds until the light begins to blink slowly6. then immediately shift down and hold for 12 second. When the light begins to blink fast the Ringshifter is in pairing mode7. Remove thru axle from the box and remove the charging point cover8. To pair the thru axle, press your 2mm allen key into the small hole until the light begins blink9. Once both lights stop blinking the Ringshifter and thru axle are paired10. Test your pairing by shifting up and down. The light on the axle will blink when you shift11. Apply the provided protective stop to your frame 12. Apply the torque arm to the non drive side of your wheel13. Slide your rear wheel back into place and tighten the thru axle 14. Ensure the torque arm is correctly positioned against the frame protector sticker15. The Ringshifter can be charged whilst on the handlebar by simply connecting the provided magnetic USB chargerEnjoy the ride!
